Prima Facie is going to expire!
my 3th Prima facie is going expire on March 11/23 and didn’t get any , is going to make any issues in my VAWA case , I didn’t use it for any benefit in my State . usually USCIS sends me a new one before previous one gets expire. that is a good sign ? could be uscis is getting decision on my case !!!!! hopefully yes by sending my approval 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Just want to share and give some hope to all! I started my process on Sep. 4th, 2020. I had 4 PF letter (last one would expired June 2023). I didn’t receive any RFE. And on Feb 21, 2023 got approved.

I just learned VAWA cases are usually handled at NBC.
Is that the case for you all?
I was trying to find out the status of an EAD which we submitted via marriage and was recently converted to VAWA with a 485.
The agent at USCIS we spoke with cant identify where 765 or 485 are and that might be because of abeyance.
we are trying to submit an expedite request based hardship which is popular but also the fact that we can show documentation of being in a field which is essentia.l It seems sensitive cases like VAWA only accept correspondence via mail. Is that accurate?
How do you all check status progress of your case online if every correspondence is via mail
No EAD update after one year
Just wanted to share my experience.
My EAD expired last year on Feb 9th, 2022. I filed for an extension in Jan 2022 but because USCIS received my case on Feb 11th or something it was too late and not eligible for the automated 540 days extension or whatever that was.
Been unemployed since about the summer 2022. My attorney and I filed a proof of hardship including written letter of support from my company, multiple times to request an expedite. Even reached out to congress.
Nothing. nothing nothing.
It's been a year now. still nothing.
Good thing I'm selling drugs and selling my body and doing OnlyFans to keep a roof over my head. (sarcasm).
Nobody is addressing this broken system? How are people like us going to survive? #ead #eadexpedite #vawa

Expedited VAWA Approved, I-485 Transferred to NBC, How much longer until I-485 is Approved?
Hello, My VAWA case was approved on October, 2022 after an Expedite Request. I-485 was transferred to NBC for faster processing.
Last I-485 update was on November 4th, 2022, “Case was Updated to Show Fingerprints were Taken. It has been around 4 months since then.
How much longer do i need to wait for any interview, medical, or approval notice?

Help with forms
I’m ready to send my forms (485,765 and 131) and I need clarification for something:
1. Am I subject to public charge or not?? (I have Vawa form 360 pending; I’ve read I am not since I’m applying for Vawa but want to make sure)
2. Do I need to fill out form I-485A since I overstayed my visa??? (I remember I got RFE for this form during my marriage application, I didn’t fill it out at fist but then I got RFE and had to filled it out).

Lawyer or no lawyer???
Did anybody fill out Vawa without help of lawyer??? I have Vawa pending but no other forms (485,765 and 131). I was using lawyer but he lied and never submitted other forms so I have to submit them again but I’m thinking not to use lawyer anymore, I don’t want to spend anymore money on lawyers if I can do it alone. If anyone did it alone, how long did it take?? Or how long did it take to get EAD and AP at least??! Thank you!

i called uscis in Nov and spoke with a live agent, they said an officer will call me back
i just got a call some minutes ago today and they said i have to go to the houston field office tomorrow for answers to my questions as they are unable to provide me with anything.
i submitted my rfe over 7months ago and i have not heard anything about my i485 reason why i called their office
i am a bit nervous, has anyone experienced this?please share

Missing receipts
My lawyer sent all forms in June, USCIS received it in July. Already received a PF determination for I-360 but not a word about I-485, I-765 or I-131, we never received a receipts for these forms. My main concern is I-131 and AP because I want to travel home. I personally sent letter to Vermont about missing receipts and my lawyer said he sent service request as well. What to do at this point??

VAWA - 485 on hold in abeyance

I am sharing my timeline to see if someone is in the same situation:
- I have got my combo card through marriage and used it a few times while married;
- my attorney submited the I-360, after I couldn’t live with my spouse anymore due to abuse.
I have got I-360 receipts + received a letter saying my biometrics will be reused .
Question: how do I know my I-360 was properly put on hold? The fact my bio will be reused is a good sign?
Asking once I’ll be using my AP card to travel again , but now the scenario is different after filling for VAWA!

Hi community! Does anybody know if Uscis “sees with bad eyes” if I write a letter about my friend’s abusive relationship ? I have a green card, 2 years, was accepted this year. Do you know anybody that uscis later “came back” in their process???
