you only need to file 360 include your receipt number they will change it over , if you have a interview before 360 is approved you then ask for abeyance , when filing our 360 you have the option of putting what address you want to put your husband don’t have to find out but if you guys live today he may find out if you guys get mail together

@call me Sam thank you! that is relieving to know. do you know if any notice about transferring I485 and 130 or abeyance will be sent to the lawyer who helped my GC marriage with my ex? I just don’t know what to tell them since my ex and I are their clients.

@skylar . your lawyer will know how to file for you. they will tick on i-360 for mail to sent to a safe mail, which will be the lawyer address. your ex will not know anything, rest assured. your lawyer should also ask your filed office to hold i-485 in abeyance. i-130 will stay pending until i-485 is approved (after i-360 approval) and at that time I 130 will say: case closed, benefits received through over means, or something like that. all your mail related your A#, which means all the cases you submitted will go to the lawyer address once they update the address as your safe address.

@A M thanks a lot!! it’s very informative. so you didn’t request change of address for your old 485 and 130 after you filed Vawa? I was thinking about doing that. I am at a new place now, and wrote my new address on 360. safe address is my new address. I expect that my lawyer will receive mails too. is that correct? and yes, my lawyer is helping me but it’s very slow to get answers. I hope all will be fine in the end, but right now this unknown process making me anxious to prepare… thank you so much for your help.
