vawa 290B
One of my friend received a denial on their VAWA case even after filing a mandamus. As a result of the denial, their work permit and travel document were automatically invalidated. Their previous attorney filed an appeal in the administrative court, but the case was dismissed.
After that, my friend changed attorneys. The new attorney filed Form I-290B again, but this time directly with USCIS instead of the administrative court or a higher judicial body. The appeal was submitted with new evidence and marked as a Motion to Reopen.
Now my friend has received the receipt number for the new I-290B filing, and the new attorney told her that work permit and travel authorization automatically became valid again — and that she can use their advance parole to travel. However, the attorney also said she will not receive any separate written confirmation about this.
My friend is afraid to travel without something official.
Is there a way to verify whether their work permit and travel document are truly valid again? If so, where or how can this be confirmed?
Travel Ban/Restriction.
Zambia has or might be added to the travel ban list soon. I wanted to find out if anyone has any idea on if that would affect our case or how we can proceed. We haven’t heard anything from UCIS since we submitted our documents.
I am not in the US at the moment awaiting approval.

NVC no update #humanitarian reinstatement
can anyone help? it has been over 2 months since my humanitarian reinstatement has been affirmed and no updates from NVC. when I try to login to ceac using Invoice number, it says case has been returned to USCIS. called USCIS they said case has been affirmed and sent back to department of state. this is so frustrating.

Receipt Notice for VAWA
I hope this text finds you well.
I didn’t receive my VAWA Receipt Notice Yet.
I’ve filled VAWA petition in April 14 2025, and they received my package on 18th April 2025, but I received my Green Return card (USPS) on 24th of May.
Can anyone tell me when they received their Receipt Notice in 2025 after filling it.
IR-5 IOE093 — Anyone got EAD from NBC recently?
(IR-5), over 21.
My receipt number starts with IOE093, and my case is being processed at the NBC (National Benefits Center).

I’ve seen some IR-5 cases getting approved in less than 90 days — even over weekends — so I’m wondering if anyone with a similar timeline or IOE093 receipt block has received their EAD recently?

is any body here from cincinnati? how long did you received your interview date from the day you submit your N-400? Idk why mine taking so long. all my friends they didn't wait 2 months for them to received their interview date. I don't have pending I-751 and my I-751 was processed so quickly! it only took 5 months for them to approve but idk why my N-400 take so long I guess. i already waiting almost 2 months now. #cincinnati
