Motion to Reopen (I-290B) — Filed Sept 22, 2025 — Anyone else waiting this long?
Hey everyone,
I filed a Motion to Reopen (Form I-290B) on September 22, 2025, after my I-485 was denied due to a missing Form I-864A. I corrected the mistake, included updated financials, and submitted everything properly this time.
According to Lawfully, my case is 17th out of 39 (43%) in the current batch for the same receipt window, but it hasn’t moved in a few days. I know I-290B processing can vary a lot depending on whether it’s handled at the National Benefits Center or transferred to the AAO, but I’m wondering if anyone with a late-September filing has started seeing updates or decisions yet.
If you’ve filed around the same time (mid to late September), how long did it take before your status changed to “Case Was Reopened” or “Decision Notice Mailed”?
Appreciate any insight — trying to get a clearer sense of the current motion review pace.
Should I notify USCIS now about marriage or its okay to notify later?
My wife’s EB-3(skilled) I-140 is approved, and her I-485 (pending) was filed in April 2023. We married later, so I wasn’t included in her I-485. I’m now filing Form I-824 for consular processing.
Should we notify USCIS now, or is it okay to wait until her I-485 is approved before informing them about my case? #eb3 #eb-3 #i485 #spouse #eb3skilled #uscis #i-824 #i824

Inadmissiblity due to Hepatitis B
hello. during my medical I told the physician I have hepatitis B. he gave a wavier for me not to take the vaccine. he wrote chronic hepatitis B. I don’t have chronic Hepatitis B. my condition is acute and my doctor told me I do not need drugs that it is possible my body will fight it.
After much discussion he said he cannot recommend I take the vaccine that having hepatitis B wheater chronic or acute does not constitute the disease the USA deemed an applicant inadmissible.
please I am a bit worried as anyone with such situation scaled through the embassy and point of entry based on this? in summary should I be worried. ?
N-400 application!
hello everyone , I’m back here because I have some questions and maybe someone can help me or clarify something for me. I applied for my citizenship 2 weeks ago and I didn’t knew it that we had a new LAW from the government started this pass Monday the 20th October 25 about the new requirements and some major changes about the civic test and other things. my questions is , because I applied just right before the new requirements, the day that i suppose to have my interview , what’s gonna happen? they gonna interviewing me with the OLD 2008 test 10 of 100 questions and 6 of 10 correct to pass or the new one 2025 test 20 of 128 new questions, 10 of 20 correct to pass ? I’m just confused because I applied exactly 10 days before the law has changed . thanks in advance everyone and i hope everyone still hanging there and strong with all this processing time . God bless 🫶
