Expedite Request Approved!! How Long Until EAD Approval?
Hi everyone! I finally received the “Expedite Request Approved” update for my I-765 after almost nine months of waiting on my EAD application. My congressional office submitted the expedite request back in August.
Has anyone here had a similar experience? After your expedite request was approved, how long did it take to receive the actual EAD approval, and then your card?
I’d really appreciate hearing your timelines. Thank you!

I got an email last Saturday 10-31 that I was going to get an answer shortly about my expedited, and then Tuesday Nov 3,
got an update on my case “new card is being processed” and I should receive it by Monday, when did you get approved? congrats 🎉

Hi Ami, can you please let us know how you expedite the request because I also got biometric in April and applied in November last year

Luis Perez Congratulations to you too! My expedite request was approved on Thursday, November 5. I’m still waiting for the actual EAD approval and card production update. Hopefully mine moves as quickly as yours!

I contacted my congressional representative’s office and asked them to submit an expedite request due to severe financial hardship after losing my job because my EAD expired. I completed their privacy release form and provided supporting documents, including overdue bills, shutoff notices, and letters from my employer confirming my termination and willingness to rehire me. Their office submitted the request and followed up with USCIS. You can contact your local congressional office and explain your situation to see if they can help!
