@Nop nig Did you file both petitions yourself or did your immigration lawyer ? I would definitely look into contacting Department of Homeland since it seems it is over processing time. If it is over processing time then I’d definitely contact them/file for a writ of mandamus.

@Jenn A I initially did both with a lawyer. However, when issues arose on the i-360 and my lawyer was confused, i had to switch lawyers. The new lawyer represented me for I-360 alone. Now i am lawyer-less for the I-485. Who needs a lawyer for I-485 when I-360 has been approved though? It should be a straight forward process from there on. Well,since the I-360 was approved in November 2022, i decided to give them 6 months to approve the I-485 and if by then they are still sleeping on it, then a lawsuit will be filled. For now i have contacted my congressman though.

@Nop nig you will get approved your i-485 soon. I got vawa approved on 10/31/22. it is not over processing time. your i-485 was pending until vawa approval. next step is One of the following: interview scheduled, rfe for medical if expired or approval, if your medical is up to date and they decide to waive your interview. I was in the last one. got approved 3/10/23. my journey was 3 years and 3 months
