both are different 765 - for C9 and C31 indicates the approval of 360. hope you understand the answers. due to high volume long waiting for approvals right now.

@m shaik yes, I understand they are different. I read the post that someone said that filed i360 and i485 and got EAD card in 8 months

when did you filed 360?

@m shaik I haven’t filed Vawa yet but my I130 and 485 are pending. I heard that someone filed both c9 and c31

oh really, someone with experience enlight this above question please. I’m really not aware of knowledge about c31 has filed. it has a sent by uscis automatically once 360 approve.

@skylar EAD under category C31 is not for marriage based GC. if you have filed only your I30, and your I485 it’s not enough. Hope you have completed your application with form I765. EAD under category C09 is only linked to a marriage based GC and EAD under category C31 is automatically attached to your I360 form if it’s approved and if you have applied for it.

@Ekoum City yes, I am aware of all these things. my case is that I already filed 130 and 485, and have EAD card under marriage till next May. I heard that someone filed both c9 and c31 and got both. I want to know if that’s possible.

I replied to you on your other post. if you have an ead c09 you will continue with that until the end of the process basically. you are able to get a new ead on c31 vawa, once your vawa is approved. both will be valid. you should renew your ead under c09, for as long as i485 is pending. the ead c31 is more like a back up, but you may not need it. in your i-360 there is a section asking if you want to apply for a work permit, if you tick yes, you'll get it once vawa is approved. I renewed my ead 2 times in my process and under c09. the ead c31 was more as a souvenir, never had to use it

Hi i am little confuse please help me on this. EAD C-(31) Category means if my i-360 is approved after that i will get EAD right? as per the USCIS website i-360 processing time is 36months so i have to wait that long time to get a EAD card? OR EAD will come sooner?
