I just got approved today. Glory to God.
It has been a journey but at the end God did it for me. Thank you for the experiences shared here. It was extremely helpful. I am praying that everyone still waiting will get their approval soon.

i-485 security check
I submitted my i-485 application on September 2021, and I was eligible to waive the fees on the application. Additionally, i-360 was approved on September 2024. Since then, there has been no progress on my i-485; it indicates that your case is currently delayed because the required security checks are still pending. We cannot make a decision on your case until we receive the results of these security checks. Has anyone who filed around that time experienced the same issue regarding the security check? #vawa #i-485 #vawa

Marriage-Based AOS | NBC → Tampa Field Office | EAD Ready for Decision Since June
Hey everyone, I’m hoping to hear from others who might be in a similar spot because my case feels stuck in a weird limbo.
I filed I-130, I-485, and I-765 (marriage-based) concurrently. Biometrics were done over 130 days ago, and my online status has said “Case is being actively reviewed” since June 18.
I spoke with a Tier 2 officer who confirmed that my EAD (I-765) has been ready for a decision since June 18, and that my entire case was internally flagged for interview scheduling on that same date. They said it’s waiting for the Tampa Field Office to open a slot.
Every time I call, regular USCIS agents just tell me it’s still “at the National Benefits Center,” but Tier 2 explained that means NBC finished everything — it’s basically done on their end and waiting for Tampa to request the file.
The frustrating part is that it’s been over 150 days since I filed and over 130 days since biometrics, yet my EAD hasn’t been approved and my interview hasn’t been scheduled. It feels like my case was so complete it got stuck waiting in line.
Is anyone else dealing with something like this at the Tampa Field Office (or another slow one)?
How long did it take after being “ready to schedule” before you finally got an interview or EAD approval?
Trying to stay patient, but this feels like the definition of inefficiency. Any experiences or advice would help a lot. 🙏
