VAWA RFE
Hello. I submitted my VAWA case 5 years ago. Now, for the first time, they are requesting evidence, and it says that I have not submitted any of the following: shared residence, battery and/or extreme cruelty, self-petitioning spouse, during the marriage, and good faith marriage. However, I have already submitted all of these, along with extensive supporting evidence.
Now I would like to know: do I need to resend everything I submitted before with the same dates?
In all of these requests it says that “You have not submitted sufficient evidence to support your eligibility under this requirement”
I have submitted a lot of evidence, yet they still write this. Is this just a formality?

@jane M did your attorney say to re-submit everything you have?

@jane M they do not ask for the same but for more evidence. if you will send the same, most likely you will be denied. “evidence not sufficient” means they need more

@m&m s My lawyer asked me for $5,000 to submit the evidence, which is impossible for me to afford. So I need to try to send it myself now.

@Launica one what is wrong??? do you think that rfe for more evidence means that someone need to send the same one?? I don’t care what Ms. Olaleye says.

@jane M try to collect more evidence: affidavits, pictures, something that will show address to prove shared residence, another evidence that will prove battery: maybe text messages, emails, any police report. honestly as much as you can collect. even if you think it is not strong. You can also include evidence you already submitted in case of but you have to add also more

I will advise you to submit the same evidence. write the same story and ask people to write good moral character for you, it might be your friend, pastor or relatives but must be motorized. if you can do that you will get your vawa approved, you don’t need a Lawyer, anyone writing for you about good character must write about your marriage and write good things about you and Notorize it.
