names inter-changed by USCIS
Hi Lawfully family please I need ur ideas.
I recently received my new green card and USCIS made a mistake with my names. my "FIRST" name came as "SECOND" name and vice versa. So my worry now is Can I petition (i-130) for my wife and children with it like that bef4 filing for i-90 for the correction or I must make the changes bf4. Especially with the long waits in processing times.

My combo card supposed to deliver today so I have been monitoring the tracking number for two days. According to USPS tracking, it said it "Delivered at 7.01pm". I was in my apartment and ran to the mail room and got there at 7.06pm. There was no one. No USPS person. NO MAIL in my mail box. I even check the package room and there was nothing. Ofc, it's after USPS office hours and I can't contact anyone....Ahhhhh I'm was super excited to see my card in the mailbox but now I'm EXTREMELY STRESSED bc my current EAD expires next week and idnk where my card is or when it will be redeliver to me. I just want it in my hands! I have been receiving receipts, biometrics appointment letter, approval letter from USCIS just fine. I didn't move or change the address at all... #struggling #whereismyEAD
Anyone has similar experience? How did you track your card? How did you deal with USPS and/or USCIS? What is the next step? How long did it take for a new card to deliver?

Travel outside of the US using advance parole
Hello everyone.
I would like to travel to my home country using my advance parole, but I'm a bit scared that I may not be allowed to enter the country on my way back. The reason is I came on a B1/B2 visa, when I got to the airport I was sent to a secondary inspection and an interview. At the end, the officer decided that my visit should last no longer than 2 weeks and wrote on my passport the following letters: No EOS/AOS/COS.
my question is, has someone been through something similar and still was able to travel outside of the country without any issue at the airport on the way back?
I have an approved VAWA case, I received a medical RFE not long ago for my I 485.
Thank you in advance. #AP #advance parole #secondaryinspection
Do not register to vote
Hello, I am posting this here because many have or are in the process of obtaining a green card.
I currently work at my county's registrar of voters and daily encounter green card holders in the process of applying for citizenship who have unknowingly register to vote. During their USCIS citizenship interview, they are not given a decision until they obtain a copy of their voting records.
Many have unknowingly registered at the DMV or on paper with the help of a circulator (person collecting registration forms , earning money for each form collected). Sadly, the registration forms have a statement that says they are claiming to be a US citizen. We all know clamming US citizenship could be a problem.
Bottom line, I advise you to specifically tell the DMV you do not want to register to vote.
Also, do not fill out any petitions or registration forms (normally outside of malls or stores) even if the circulation claims you can register and vote on local elections.
before you start your N400 or citizenship process, call or visit your local registrar of voters to look up your records and ensure you are not registered.
If you are registered, asked to be removed or canceled.
Finally Approved
I am short of words and at the same time, I am extremely and very excited ❤️🖤💙
I did not submit any inquiries during the time period. Despite feeling frustrated due to the long wait, I refrained from submitting any inquiries. However, after receiving a Request for Evidence (RFE), I responded on June 5, 2023, and my I-485 was subsequently approved on June 10, 2023, without submitting any inquiries to USCIS.
I did not attend an interview as USCIS did not ask for it. After I fulfilled the RFE requirement, I got approved within five days without any interview.
Yes, my card was backdated; on the card it says I have been resident since 06/09/2022. It was backdated to 1 year prior - This is applicable to Green Card application based on Asylum.
I got my Green Card based on Asylum.
Again, I am extremely excited!

Ready to Upload Documents (NVC Timeline)
June 2 midnight, we received our i130 approval.
June 5, USCIS case status: case is sent to Deparment of State.
June 6 morning, we received the NVC welcome letter (sent to both me and my wife via email)
In the NVC welcome letter, there are the NVC case number and Invoice ID number, both of which you will need to log in the CEAC system.
June 6 evening, we logged in the CEAC system and paid the fees.
(NOTE: petitioner fee and applicant fee need to be paid separately, credit cards NOT accepted)
Then the fees will be processed. During this time it showed ‘IN PROCESS’ on CEAC.
June 10, fees are received and it says ‘PAID’ on CEAC.
Now we can start uploading the documents for NVC.
- petitioner’s financial documents
- applicant’s DS260 form
- applicant’s civil documents

EB4-Religious worker
I believe I am not alone in this frustrating situation, as we all are facing this seemingly unending retrogression.
During the pending of I-485, is there any possible way to move and serve other congregations with EAD?
It might be possible, but, for sure, I may take a risk… and need to do something, right?
Is it possible to resubmit I-360, changing the sponsoring congregation while I keep the old-priority date??
Is it possible to file I-140 (EB2) during the pending of I485??
For both cases above, do I need to file a new I-485?? or not??
I know I need to talk to my attorney, and I surely will do, but I wonder if there is someone like me.
