Apply for F1 while I485 pending decision
Hello everyone,
I am currently on H1B and waiting for interview to be scheduled for I485. I am thinking of going to school as a full time student next year, not sure if I am still count as an international student.
Has anyone gone through a similar situation? Do I need an F1 for school? Am I eligible to apply for another non immigration visa under I485 pending status?
Any help or suggestion appreciated! Thank you!
i131 biometrics
Hello everyone,
I submitted i131 form for re-entry permit, and it delivered to USCIS office on Monday 12/20/2021.
I have to leave country tomorrow 12/24/2021.
1. What are the chances if they will reject my application because of my absence?
2. I am planning to come back for biometrics, but as a GC holder they should have my biometrics.
How can I ask them to reuse it? Or what are the chances they will reuse it?

Interview Cancelled
My husbands I485 was processed in September 2021. He got a request to interview on November 21 for an interview date of December 10, 2021. But they cancelled our Intetview on December 6th because his file was not recieved in Boston from the Nebraska Center. We are struggling to make ends meet and nervous about when they will reschedule the interview. I hope it’s not long. He has not even recieved his EAD yet!

my 180 days extention of the ead card finished so my Job suspended me, they told me when i get the new card i should bring it and then continue working. am praying that God will grant it to me today. may he approve it and send it to me now. in Jesus name. thanking God for the community so much encouragement but hes the giver of all things. merry christmas to us all.

Hi everyone! Just curious! my husband just applied for my daughter. he is a US citizen. I don't have my gc approved yet. I'm still waiting but it's going well. It's been only 8 months and I am here in the us waiting for AOS BUT my daughter is overseas in my home country 🇪🇨 She is a minor. She is not turning 21 any time soon. Can somebody share their timeline with me to have an estimate of how long it's actually taking to be approved in the same situation that I am, or at least how long it's taking to get to NVC phase?? Are minors being petitioned by us citizens considered a priority?? Could I expedite if I'm already here in the us?? Thank you and any insight will be very much appreciated ❤

SSN AFTER GETTING EAD (marriage based-AOS)
hey guys! For those who already applied for EAD for the 1st time through marriage AOS and are waiting for that ead to get to your mail to finally be able to work legally in this country, take into account that you also need a social security number that might or might not come along after a couple of days or weeks by itself after receiving ead, mine didn't (but it is supposed to as you request it on form I-765) so I went ahead and applied for it at the ss field office. (you have to call the toll free and make an appointment to walk in, you can'tjust just show up).
I needed it as I got a job no less than 5 days after the ead was in my hand. Employers give you 90 days by law to come up with that ssn. I got my ssn finally in my mail today. It took 2 more weeks so please take that into account as well. Check down below for timeline and ssn processing time. Still waiting for my aos interview. Status says my case is ready to be scheduled for an interview since 09/14 but I have a job now and I can file taxes using ssn and it's going well now that I'm able to wor legally.
