i131 biometrics
Hello everyone, I submitted i131 form for re-entry permit, and it delivered to USCIS office on Monday 12/20/2021. I have to leave country tomorrow 12/24/2021. 1. What are the chances if they will reject my application because of my absence? 2. I am planning to come back for biometrics, but as a GC holder they should have my biometrics. How can I ask them to reuse it? Or what are the chances they will reuse it? Thanks a lot!

Yes I have a GC, but I plan to leave country for two years. I need re-entry permit for it. I used to enter USA every 6 month, but it started become issue on border. They adviced to apply for travel document. It is re-entry permit, not AP but form is still same i131

if you’re a GC holder, you cannot spend more than 6 months outside of the US

Victory there is no hard rule such that. Also re-entry permit allows to be outside up to 2 years Thanks

Great! if that’s going to work for you, then good luck. Do aps valid for more than a year?

If you’re planning to stay outside the U.S for more than 6 months say goodbye to citizenship, yes you can do so with a travel document but that will mess up your citizenship application if you want to apply in the future
