I think they are still processing Nov 2020 and Dec 2020 or expedite requests for 2021

I saw some ead/ap approved from june. lucky?
K
Katerina dzDec 24, 2021
yes, Uscis does this trick for a very few application to avoid lawsuits
K
Katerina dzDec 24, 2021
but the major backlog is still in Oct-Nov 2020
Dee LDec 24, 2021
yup, get ready to wait 12 months, that’s the average right now
m qDec 24, 2021
@Dee is that Dec 2020 priority date or AOS filing date? where can we see this info?
Dee LDec 24, 2021
most people I’ve seen on different groups have been waiting 12 months on average since filling date...some oct 2020 are also still waiting...Nebraska seems to be the worst service center right now, lots of people lost their job, expedite requests are denied...I’m considering leaving the US and heading back in my country, I’ve been out of work for a few months now and NYC is too expensive
m qDec 24, 2021
gotcha I've seen people share on here and the timeline seems much faster than a year. for example someone posted having their i140 and applying for AOS in August, getting their GC by December. for me I filed in Sept and the app estimates I'll get it by Feb.
Dee LDec 24, 2021
it depends for everybody, there doesn’t seem to be any logic in how cases are processed...for instance, I’m an April filler, BM on July 22nd, no medical RFE, no EAD...I’ve seen people being approved for EAD in 1 month, other being approved for AOS in 4 days and others have been waiting for 14 months...it’s just luck at this point in Nebraska
m qDec 24, 2021
hmm what timeline did lawfully app estimate for you?
Dee LDec 24, 2021
between Feb and Apr for both EAD and GC but the timeline has moved over the last 3 months so I’m not sure it’s accurate
Dee LDec 24, 2021
I can last one more month and after, I’ll have to leave or take a loan to be able to survive
m qDec 24, 2021
interesting I wonder why it estimated almost a full year for you (April 2021-Feb 2022) but only about 6 months for me (Sept 2021-Feb 2022)
m qDec 24, 2021
btw you can switch jobs if your application has been pending for longer than 6 months, without affecting your AOS application (you don't actually need an EAD)
Dee LDec 24, 2021
weird, is your case in Nebraska as well ?
Dee LDec 24, 2021
didn’t know about the job change, that’s good to know
m qDec 24, 2021
yes it is also in Nebraska. good luck man hope it works out for you!
Dee LDec 24, 2021
thanks, same to you
A MDec 25, 2021
I think you need EAD to work even if it’s pending more than 6 months. 485 on January but no update on ead.

it’s odd. for me shows the max probablility to get ead up to dec.2021 but i don’t believe it will happen. my lawyer said probably up to march. i fine with ead as my i129 was extend to 2023. i most interest in the ap. i really want to travel back to my home country for vacation after 2 long years without travel abroad
Dee LDec 25, 2021
@heitor hope you’re right about timeline but I kinda lost faith so we’ll see
m qDec 25, 2021
@A M you can transfer your h1b, don't need an EAD
