Case Processing
I feel so hopeless
my drivers license expired last January and I lost my job last May. since then I have been stuck at home. i can’t go anywhere if it’s not my husband driving me. I took Uber sometimes which is so expensive for our family when my husband is the only person that is working. We also have two kids. I have a 11 year old stepson and a seven month old baby. sometimes I really just want to go back to my own country. I feel like I am in prison every day. I feel bad for my seven month old baby because I can’t take him outside to play. also I am so depressed I feel I am not a good mother. we just stuck at home. my lawyer is depending on me contacting the congressman since I didn’t get a decision after the green card interview last month. congressman contacted USCIS. USCIS say they will make a decision or ask me something in 90 days for my green card. I don’t expect get my green card at this point. just work permit please so I can renew my drivers license and go back to work.

after I submitted an inquiry last month about my case being outside of normal process, I got this email today!
A check of our records establishes that the processing of your Form N-400, Application for Naturalization, is delayed pending receipt of your A-file. The USCIS National Records Center (NRC) remains operational while adhering to local health protocols. USCIS also utilizes the Federal Records Centers (FRC) operated by the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) to house immigration records. NARA has different health and safety protocols to adequately protect their workforce. USCIS is continually working with NARA leadership on obtaining files stored with their FRC facilities to mitigate the current file request backlog.
Reuse of my biometrics for N400
hi everyone,
As you know I have my i-751 ROC(waiver) is pending since Feb 2019. since other Biometric and Figerprints in May 2019 nothing change in my status so far.
then this month(February 2022) I filed my Naturalization as well.
I got Recipt letter last week about my fee.
yesterday I again received a letter regarding Biometic they saying we are able to reuse your fingerprints & other biometrics.
Is that mean my case for Naturalization (N400) is move forward one step that I no need to wait for biometrics process???
can those thing give a Pace to my case?
please share your experience? #citizenship #naturalization #n400 #i751
I-765 and I-131
Hi all, my I-765 was approved and I recieved the card without advance parole. My I-131 still says “case was approved and reciept notice was sent”. Any idea?

SSN
Hi everyone,
I'm trying to determine the best course of action so any input is appreciated; my wife received her EAD last week and still waiting on SSN which we request USCIS to process when we filed her documents.
#1: She can't get onboarded at work yet since SSN is still missing. We're thinking of going to SSA office tomorrow to check if there's a pending request for her SSN since she called and can't get anyone on the phone. Any feedback from anyone that just recently went through this? I know folks waited anywhere from 2 days to more than a month.
#2: She'd like to change her name so it will reflect mine. When we got married, the county clerk stated that soon as she has her SSN, we can go to NC DMV and get her ID/License. Obviously, though, #1 above will have her previous last name still, so perhaps another reason to visit the SSA office so that her last name can be changed to mine and when she gets her DMV ID, all will be good.
The goal here is to avoid multiple trips to SSA/DMV to have a correct name on her ID's. Any input is appreciated.
Location changed - Longer processing time
I just found out today our case was moved to Potomac Center from Texas center and it’s crazy how a few little numbers can hurt so much. Now were looking at a 12.5-16 month wait and not 11-14 month, seems like such a small difference but not for all of us going through this.
ugh, this waiting part is a killer isn’t it… You think you can live with your husband or wife, but no, just gotta wait 12.5 to 16 months 🤷🏼♀️
so with that, sending all my love to all of you, this shit sucks

account processing time n400
My account used to say the number of months remaining until decision which is not necessary to be accurate but since last week, it started to say the following,
Estimated time* until case decision:
Things are taking longer than expected. You do not have to do anything at this time..
does it do the same or just my account?
I also applied for naturalization on November 2020 and until now, I did not get my interview. is there anyone in the same boat in San Francisco?
