I haven’t received EAD yet. I applied in February of 2020 and I applied for c31 and it was taking forever so I later applied for c09 in April of last year 2021

@victory when did it expire? mine expired on the 19th, haven’t received a new one yet. would be my 4th PF

@mucc mucc was your 3rd PF valid for 6months or 12months?

mine is expired already this month

@god over all the first PF is valid for 1 year, after that each one valid for 6 months

mine was 6 months, 6 months and I think 3 months

point of correction, I have received 3 prima facie notices and each was valid for 6 months

The 3rd just got expired February 26, 2022

honestly is there any or much use of this prima facie

I have tried using it to get public benefit here in Pennsylvania, but all efforts failed. driver’s license, food stamps all failed or denied

I just used my PF to renew my driver's license after denials @ 2 dps locations.

I am in south Florida, I got my PF last week, went and got my driving permit and now applying for FAFSA

when I get my 4th prima facie notice, I will go again to Pennsylvania DMV and try for a driver’s license

@ victory victory try another dps office location. I was successful @ the 3rd location but the first two locations refuse attending to me.

@ Victory Victory I got Driver's License in FL. Take in old work permit (if you have 1), Social Security Card (if you have 1), Original or copy of 797 receipt for i130 VAWA along with Original or Copy of Prima Facie, Passport, proof of address (if you have something not as important) and your old Driver's License if you had one. My old 1 had expired past 2 years so I had to re-do the written test and pay for the new license. They said it would take potentially up to 60 days to get the new License in the mail though on average it takes up to 21 days. I did mine 2 weeks ago and still waiting on it. In the meantime, they gave me a temporary license (a printed paper with my old license attached) which I can use to drive until the official license arrives. The License is good for 1 year. If you have to book the DMV appointment online (FL is still not doing walk ins), make sure to find a DMV location that does Non-immigrant Driver's License/ Renewals. Some DMV locations do not have the experience or ability to issue the Driver's License for VAWA. If your location allows you to call then ask questions before you go. I would also take a print out copy of what VAWA allows you to receive. Also, if the person you speak to has no idea what you are asking about, ask to speak to a Supervisor or their Manager...they should know more. Good Luck! I also downloaded the free DMV practice test app for my state to practice the written test, because if you pass on the first try you don't have to pay for the test, just for the License. It's $54 for the Driver's License in FL and I think the test is an additional $10. Good Luck!
