Hi fam! I have a question in my mind that bothers me. I’m in the process of divorcing with my abuser and I filed my application already. I carry my ex’s last name and I will receive my work authorization with that name and after the divorce is it challenging to change the name on the document?

Anyone with the similar timeline from new york? It will be 24 months tomorrow and what’s wild is - case will be in normal processing time for another 2 years. Why can’t they call me for an interview?!

my husband lives in europe while we wait for his green card. since Russia invaded ukraine I am terrified of war breaking out in western Europe and us not being able to be together. I’m sure it’s my anxiety speaking but I haven’t slept the last couple nights and I can’t stomach eating anything. it’s so hard being apart in the first place and then when unexpected things happen it’s just unbearable. I’m so sorry if anyone is in a similar situation, we will get through it. I’m also sorry this is more like a journal entry hahaha I just needed to vent to people that may understand. stay safe everyone <3
I want to add that I’m aware the people of ukraine have it undeniably worse and this is in no way a comparison, I am just thinking out loud.
EAD expedite request?
Hi everyone
I have submitted my EAD expedite request on Feb 11 and have not received any decision for approval or denial ?
i corresponded with our local congressman, sent them all evidence( job offer letter being a health care worker) and financial loss … but haven’t received any email or contact from USCIS NBC office since the last email about reference number and they let us know shortly.
1.what is an average timeline to expect a decision?
2.is it necessary to have a decision before you can make a second request?
anyone can share their experience or insight about this specific scenario?
