Joseph...you are actually only seeing info based on people who are registered in Lawfully. There are thousands of people out there who have applied before and after you who do not use the Lawfully app and have not fed their filing dates on this app. Lawfully is not a USCIS app and cannot tell you your real position on the queue. You may be the 1000th or 3000th person in the real USCIS list for all I know. There is another app that helps you tell your real place in the queue by taking all USCIS file numbers and telling you who is approved or not

The app is called Case Tracker for USCIS . Download it on your phone. There is a way to manipulate it to tell how many cases are 500 below or above you. U can see which cases have been submitted, approved denied , RFE'ed, refused or rejected etc near your receipt number. You will see all the dates of those actions on all the receipt numbers. There are also functions in the app to allow you check 485, 130, 765 separately...or even together. It is easy to use. But it can also alarm you by the time you see that many cases near your number are at the same stage with you. U will also see how USCIS will jump numbers and approve a case that was submitted after yours. When you download the app, click the search function at the bottom of the app and fill your receipt number where u see 'start receipt ', enter 500 where u see ' count' then press search. you can adjust for case type ( that's whether it is 485, 131, 765, 140) using the filter at the bottom. you can also further arrange the search using dates etc. Try it and let me know. It is not really difficult...but it may make you sad.

@Adiba use ur receipt number the same way it was given to u by uscis include the MSC or LIN or SRC ...what ever ur number starts with and don't give space in them

@kyra I can see the other 499 cases but underneath the case it says validation error and 2 of them say card was sent to the mail in 2018

@freaky it doesn’t work with online application. I tried this older one with WAC and it works just fine

i applied online and followed the steps but says validation error

on top of the (my cases ) ( search )( visa bulletin) there is an option that says All and other type of case . click on your case , either 1-30, N400 or whatever then you see

ohh I see on top it says the form type but when I press I-130 only mone shows up

so after you put the search , you can do 500 and after it completes loading . make sure it finish loading and then you click on 1-130 or all . it should show you something

remember, you are seeing cases applied from all states. so, there is no gaurantee that if some people ahead of you got approved, you are next. they could be from faster field offices. All these tools are good to know if USCIS is progressing or not. can never guess what happens to an individual case.

If you want a bird's eye view of things across USCIS, the app I shared gives it. But if you want to base ur estimates on the small frame of Lawfully's myopia, don't bother
