I filed an I-130 petition for my foreign spouse in 2022. I just received a notice in November 2025 saying that an interview has been scheduled for me as the petitioner. I thought the I-130 is usually approved first and then sent to the NVC for my spouse abroad. Is it normal for USCIS to interview the petitioner directly? I also read online that this might speed up the process so that my spouse may not have to go through a long wait before coming to the U.S. Is that true?

Hello! Query, does anyone know where they are working these days? There are April approvals and some movements from May, June, July and August were seen. It's been 103 days since my i485 interview was completed and I still haven't received a decision. My field office is in Indianapolis. Has anyone from the Indianapolis field office been approved recently? I've made a couple of service requests and both times it said my case requires additional review. I also reached out to my congressman for help, but unfortunately, that didn't work out.

Taking lawyer to an interview? Is it worth it?
Hello Everyone! I have my interview coming up. Has anyone taken a lawyer during an interview? How was the experience? What are their roles or in which scenario they can speak up or intervene? My lawyer is asking for $1500 flat fee plus addition cost of lawyer (flight, accomodations, foods etc).
Anyone Received a USCIS Response After an EB-2 NIW Inquiry?
Hi everyone,
Is anyone else going through something similar with their EB-2 NIW case?
I received an RFE in February, submitted my response in early May, and my case moved to Actively Reviewing the same day USCIS received the response. Since then, there have been no further updates.
My attorney submitted a case inquiry for processing time delay, and USCIS replied saying the office has up to 60 days to respond.
For those who have done an inquiry recently:
Did you receive an actual response?
How long did it take?
Did it help move your case forward?
I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone in the same situation or from those who already received an update after submitting an inquiry.

ICE requiring NOA and EAD??
I'm not sure about this but just going through my documents and realized that I never received any notice of action for my I485 and I360 under VAWA. I've the ones for work permit and AP. Is this normal? I'm seeing that you need both EAD and I485 notice of action to prove your legal residency to ICE agents. What's you all's experience?
