Need advice;
Greetings everyone,
I have submitted congressional request on March 12, 2026 for EAD C09, since my H1B will be terminated by March 31, 2026.
I wont be having EAD
No health insurance
No drivers license since there in no EAD.
I have a neurological issues in my brain.
Need medication for
High blood pressure
Blood thinners
per-diabetic medication
and other.
How long will it take for EAD to be approved?
I need insurance for my preexisting conditions.
Marketplace says $400 per month for health insurance.
I'll be out of funds in 2 months.
Maybe it is time for to give up and get out of this mess!
Please advise.

so my soon to be legally divorced husband was CID ( army). so of course police and army didn’t do shit ( but some within the army at least tried so there is that). took me 2 years filing VAWA ( had the interview, did the medical then was told the process had been withdrawn upon my behalf by my then husband). after that he went to the states, stopped paying me spousal support and left the army. well, having put my entire studies and career geared towards the US; plus having had a miscarriage , I felt like I didn’t have enough evidence, as well, he was someone working within army police… anyways so I sent everything in September 25, and got two receipts, both being the Notice of they have received it.
would there be a point of seeing why my ex withdrew the petition? o thought it was illegal to withdraw after the interview ? they just told me I needed to submit the medical, and I spent money on it…. #vawa #i130 #militaryspouseabuse #military #army
VAWA RFE and including Medicals.?
can someone share their experience I’m working on responding RFE on my VAWA case and I’m Thinking of adding my medicals as well since they are already done.
Any suggestion or should I wait until they request for a I-485 application?

VAWA I-485: Address Change Advice Needed
Hi everyone,
I filed my I-485 separately after my VAWA approval. When I filed, my residence was in Brooklyn. I just finished my biometrics, and I’ve now moved to Queens.
I’m wondering if I need to update my physical address. My mailing address hasn’t changed—it’s still my lawyer’s office. If I do need to update, should I do it online, by mail (AR-11), or by phone?
Also, I’m a bit worried about the interview: if the officer asks for my current address, should I say Brooklyn or Queens? Will updating my address affect my I-485 processing or interview scheduling at this stage?

I am on H1B and, and it going to expire soon.
I am moving to TX, and I would like to know the procedure for getting DL in Houston TX with my self petition.
Like I mentioned, my H1B is going to expire soon. How do I make a congressional enquiry for my pending C09 EAD.
Once my H1B expire I won't be having health insurance, and I have medical needs.
Could someone can help or advice, it would be greatly appreciated.

I just got back from abroad, entry JFK
I got back on January 27. My flight landed at 1 am.
I spent about an hour in secondary, but it was just waiting. They asked me how long I was married for and if I experienced any abuse mentally or physically. I answered short and decisive. They took me to get fingerprinted, waited for another 15 minutes and handed me back my passport saying that I can go. Hope this helps with anyone planning to travel abroad. Save travels everyone 🙏

Hi, guys!
I submitted my VAWA case on November 2024.
I just got an update saying “ Correspondence was received and USCIS is reviewing it”. The status before this one was “Fees were waived”.
I’m not sure what this means considering I have not received an RFE request or sent any other information after the initial package.
Does anyone have any idea what this could mean?
For more context, I filled VAWA and AOD together. EAD and AP were approved on March 2025 and I got my second prima facie a few weeks ago.
5 years in the waiting… Exactly 180 days: 6 months today since they received my RFE response.
Even though they promised my congressman that a response would be given within 60 days, nothing so far…
I can’t finish this year the same way as I did the last 5…
This is sad and cruel.

Travel experience
Travel experience with pending Vawa and I-765: I’ve spent 3 weeks back home in Europe,returned today, went through immigration at JFK airport. No questions asked, they had to take my fingerprints again at secondary control in that inspection room because they said “it’s some new procedure for parols” but no issues at all or questions asked.
