I have been waiting for 18 months already and still haven’t got any response.

my i485 has been pending 26 months still waiting for a decision. Plus my country is from one of those countries that have been paused

You’re moving forward, even if it doesn’t feel like it yet. After biometrics in VAWA-based I-485 cases, it’s very normal to have a long quiet period. Many of these cases don’t require an interview at all, so you may not get one. USCIS often reviews the file and goes straight to a decision. If an interview is scheduled, it can take several months, often around 6 to 12 months or more depending on the office. But it’s just as common for the next update to be approval without an interview. At this point, nothing is missing on your end. You’ve done what you need to do. Now it’s mostly waiting while USCIS completes review. I know the pace can be frustrating, but your case sounds like it’s on a normal track. @Manifest Law thank you! My case was just updated to “Case Transferred and New Office Has Jurisdiction.” Does this mean it might be processed sooner?

@kiki C oh nice my vawa was approved June 2025 and I have biometrics they only took my signature and photo, no fingerprints on January 14 2026 , my case is in NBC NOW, and just waiting 😥
