Interview Experience
Hello! just wanted to get in here and share my experience, as well as ask for some opinions on how this is looking. My USC Husband and I (Beneficiary) had our interview today. Met in February 2024, started dating that same month, proposed to me in August 2025 and was here under B2 Visa. Got married in January 2025 (didn’t go back to my country). It started off bad since we didn’t have our driver’s license (Our updated license were not home yet and we were legally advised to present passport) and the lease had the signatures slightly disarranged and cut off my husband’s signature (the physical copy), however he had the correct version in the system but didn’t check. Anywho, that set a bad tone. He started asking our names, DOB, Address and he asked many time about where we lived (Again, he from the beginning didn’t believe we were living together due to that copy). He asked me the Yes or No questions and then proceeded to split us up. The officer interrogated my husband first, and then me. When I went inside the office, my husband was sent with a Fraud Investigator and then the officer interrogated me. He asked very specific questions and many questions again, just worded differently. Due to my nervousness, I screwed up on explaining how he proposed. We both said the same thing, expect I said he gave me no ring (which for us, we were not really counting it as the official ring, but the wedding ring) so I said no, but everything else was just correct and the same answers. I told him I just couldn’t remember exactly. My husband said that he did and he told him where it was from and the price, so I don’t know what to think about that. He asked us separately the same questions, like “What did you had for dinner last night” “When was the last time you were intimate” Etc etc, to see if we were telling the truth. The Fraud investigator told my husband we were good. My husband mentioned he was very hard on him and trying to break him down, but well, our relationship is real haha. They ended up chatting about real estate and he was just friendly towards the end according to my husband. After that, he went in the office I was with the other officer and the fraud investigator showed the correct version of the lease with all the signatures to the main officer and following the officer interrogating me just said “I want more pictures uploaded to the application please, there aren’t that many (Mind you, we sent like at least 25 with my family, his family, wedding and together in general). I asked him if we were approved and he said “Just upload the pictures and i’ll take a decision”. He apologized it took too long and he was never mean, he would smile from time to time. He didn’t give us a paper or anything, nor a decision, just that. This is my experience, how good or bad does it look? what to expect?
