Case Processing
The new sponsor after the merger does not continue to sponsor ew3
Season’s greetings and best wishes for the New Year to everyone.
I would like to seek professional guidance regarding my employment-based immigration case (EB-3/EW3).
My I-140 petition is currently in “Processing” status, with a total pending time of 134 days. However, my Labor Certification (LC) is approaching its expiration date on January 21, 2026. The sponsoring company has ceased operations due to a merger into a larger corporation, and the acquiring company has decided not to continue sponsoring my EB-3/EW3 petition.
I would appreciate clarification on the following points:
1. If my current I-140 petition is approved, will I be able to retain my Priority Date (PD) if I later secure sponsorship from a different employer in the same or a similar occupation?
2. In that scenario, would I be required to file a new I-140 petition with the new employer and proceed through the process again, including DS-260 filing and consular interview, in order to complete the immigration process?
3. Conversely, if my I-140 is not approved due to the employer’s withdrawal or dissolution, would my Priority Date be lost entirely, requiring me to restart the process from the beginning with a new employer?
I would be very grateful for insights from experienced professionals or individuals who have encountered similar situations.
Kindly note that I am not seeking advice from intermediaries or agents, as their guidance has been limited and unhelpful, and this situation has caused me significant concern.
Thank you very much for your time and assistance.

This process has been really exhausting and honestly a little scary. Every day I wake up hoping there will be some kind of update.
I pray it won’t take too long because I really want to start school and move forward with my life. Being at home every day, just waiting, takes a toll mentally.
I know I’m not the only one feeling this way, so if you’re in a similar situation or timeline, feel free to comment. It would really help to know I’m not alone. #f1
EAD/AP Renewal
I just watched a video from a lawyer saying all EAD renewals are also paused if you are from any of the partially banned countries (Nigeria). If anyone has gotten an EAD renewal approved since the new proclamation please leave a comment under this post. According to her all initial EAD applications will still get approved but not renewals.
How long to wait? F2A I-130
Happy new year everyone!
I am a child of LPR who lives in California.
My PD is April 2025, I know for this process I should wait for long. I am Armenian, I will go through consular processing but it will be in Istanbul.
Every case is different but I see people waiting for years for the approval. It’s been 9 months but still no updates on my case. How long will I wait?

Myprogress weird update in uscis online account
I have applied I485, I131 and I765 for my EB2 niw on november 4, 2025. Completed my biometric on December 4 th. I also got one silent update on my I485 on December 17th. Suddenly I saw the folllowing text on my uscis online account
myProgress information is unavailable
But for the whole period, from November 4, 2025 to January 3, there was no progress tab. Also the text is shown only over my I485 and I131 case. Nothing is shown ovet the I765 case.
Anyone faced similar situation?
