I applied for asylum in 2022, had an interview in March 2025, and my case is still pending. USCIS called my lawyer for another interview, and I have been waiting for a decision for 8 months. Do you know of any similar cases??? I entered with a valid visa at JFK.

Hi everyone, I’m hoping someone here can give me some clarity about our immigration situation. My husband and I recently responded to a Notice of Intent to Revoke. I am a United States citizen and my husband is Palestinian from Gaza. USCIS questioned the legitimacy of our marriage, and we sent our full response on November 10. Right now I am in Egypt with my husband along with my 9 year old daughter. We have been here waiting with him since April of this year so that we could stay together during this process. When I contacted USCIS about the timeframe, they told me we need to wait until July 26, 2026 before requesting any kind of update. I honestly cannot wrap my head around that. Neither of us can work here due to residency restrictions, and my mental and physical health have really taken a hit. We’ve given them everything asked for and more. For context • We applied for his visa in October 2024 • His interview at the Cairo Embassy was January 2025 • We received the NOIR in November 2025 I’m just trying to understand what to expect or what we can realistically do while we wait. Any guidance or similar experiences would be hugely appreciated.

Filed I-485 with my spouse, my receipt arrived but spouse's hasn't — should we be worried?

I filed I-485/765/131 together with my wife (same package, same day). My case was processed first, but my wife’s payment still hasn’t been charged yet. Here’s my timeline so far: • 11/10: Package delivered • 11/14: My payment was charged • 11/17: I received my receipt number (text) But my wife still hasn’t had her payment charged and has no receipt yet. Is this normal for derivative I-485 cases? How long should we wait before contacting USCIS? Is there any way to submit inquiry about this?
