Case Processing
Houston office
over 2 months since our interview in November. we were given the white paper and was told we should be getting something in the mail within a month. Case Is Being Actively Reviewed By USCIS since that date. nothing has changed and been radio silence ever since. this is dragging and very frustrating.

CR-1 Case Returned to USCIS After 221(g): Is B2 Visit Visa Advisable?
My spouse filed Form I-130 for me in March 2021. The I-130 was approved in June 2023 and later processed through Form I-824, which was approved in June 2024. The case moved to NVC in July 2024, and my immigrant visa interview was scheduled at the Mumbai Consulate in November 2024. During the interview, I was issued a 221(g) and asked to submit my divorce decree. I obtained the decree through court and submitted it in March 2025. After this, my case was placed under administrative processing and later returned to USCIS for further review. There has been no update for several months.
Question:
Given this situation, would it be advisable to apply for a B2 (visitor) visa to visit my U.S. citizen spouse while the immigrant visa case is pending? #USImmigration

VAWA: Waiting but not broken
I know how heavy this process can feel. I’ve been waiting 3 years and 4 months for my VAWA approval, and 10 months for my EAD renewal. Right now, I can’t even work because of the delay and some days, it honestly feels overwhelming.
But I want you to know this, we are not forgotten and we are not defeated.
This process tests our patience, our faith, and our strength in ways we never asked for. Many of us survived abuse, rebuilt ourselves from nothing, and are now being asked to wait in silence. That alone shows how resilient we already are.
If today feels hard, that doesn’t mean you’re weak. It means you’re human. If you feel tired, frustrated, or discouraged your feelings are valid. But please don’t let this season convince you that your life is on pause forever. It’s not.
One day, this wait will turn into a testimony. One approval will open doors we thought were permanently closed. One moment will make the struggle make sense.
Until then, hold on, keep going, lean on God & speak life over yourself.
We didn’t survive abuse to be broken by paperwork delays.
Our time is coming. And when it does, it will be worth the wait.
You are not alone.

EAD card was approved a month after no status changed
Hi friends,
is anyone in the same situation? my Ead card was approved on 12/3/2025 and still nothing after that on case status. the letter said we will produce it i. a week or 2 but its been over a month now and no news or tracking number or anything on USCIS account or else where.
i485 approved for primary dependent pending
Hoping someone here can help clarify my situation. I filed for Adjustment of Status (I-485) in October 2024 under the employment-based category, where I am the primary applicant. Yesterday, my case status was updated to “Case Was Approved,” and I’m thrilled that my green card journey is finally coming to an end.
However, I’m a bit concerned because there has been no corresponding update on my spouse’s I-485 case. We filed our applications together, and I had assumed my spouse’s case would be approved around the same time as mine, but that hasn’t happened.
When I contacted a live USCIS agent, I was told that the interview waiver was removed by an officer for my spouse’s case. This raised some concern for me.
Currently, my spouse’s case status still shows:
“RFE response received on December 18 (related to polio). We will notify you when a decision has been made.”
My question is: Is it normal for dependent applicants to receive green card approval at a later stage than the primary applicant, potentially with an interview request, even when the primary applicant is already approved?
Any insights or similar experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
Any experience with I-485 transferred to Sacramento?
Hello Everyone,
Happy New Year to y'all.
I want to know the experiences of those who have had their I-485 transferred to Sacramento, CA. How fast did you get approved after the transfer from NBC to Sacramento. Thanks for your response in advance.
