I-751 NOTICE
Hi everyone, my I-751 is currently pending (filed as a divorce waiver). Today, 09/23/2026, I received a USCIS notice titled “FBI Privacy Requirements for Biometrics Collection by USCIS.”
The notice says that USCIS may use my biometrics for FBI criminal-history checks and specifically says “You do not need to take any further action at this time.”
Has anyone else received this notice while their I-751 was pending? Did your I-751 get approved shortly after receiving this notice, or did it simply become part of the normal background-check process?

I received it yesterday. I just kmt what they must send they sit on it and sending us foolishness, for my sake they could have keep the results I didn't have to know been waiting 3 and a half years for and approval.

@Shee ja It’s a normal notice to say they’re reusing your existing biometrics. The petty people running immigration now deliberately changed the wordings to make it sound scary. SMH

@Shee ja - My I-751 - Apr 2025 filing- I received a biometric reuse letter within a week of filing alongside 48 month status extension letter.
Been almost 18 months. Radio silence.
Did you also get a biometric reuse letter when you filed or this FBI privacy requirements letter now that you updated the case to waiver?
