Hi there,
on the 13th of this month we got our papers confirmed and approved. We can see in our journey process that the next thing will be of course our medical and the interview.
my question, based on your experience, how long does it take from the moment you get approved papers, to the interview date or the interview email confirming the date.

VAWA - Approved after filing Mandamus Lawsuit
Just wanted to share an update in case it helps someone here.
After waiting a long time with no movement, I decided to file a mandamus lawsuit. Not long after that, my VAWA (I-360) was approved.
I know this process can be frustrating and exhausting, especially when timelines keep getting pushed. Filing wasn’t an easy decision, but in my case, it definitely helped move things forward.
Hope this gives some encouragement to anyone stuck waiting.

USCIS Expedite Request (Humanitarian) – Timeline & Chances?
Hi everyone,
I recently submitted an expedite request (I-130) to USCIS on March 15th based on humanitarian reasons (security situation, safety concerns, and a U.S. citizen infant involved).
I wanted to ask — from your experience, how long does it usually take for USCIS to respond to an expedite request?
Also, do humanitarian expedite requests actually get approved in practice, or is it rare?
Would really appreciate hearing real timelines and outcomes from anyone who’s been through this.

Name format issue (middle name merged into first name) need advice
Hi everyone,
I have a question about a name mismatch across my immigration documents.
On some documents (like labor/perm), the name is listed as:
• First name: [First]
• Middle name: [Middle]
• Last name: [Last]
But on Form I-485 and medical, it’s written as:
• First name: [First + Middle combined]
• Last name: [Last]
So basically, the middle name is merged into the first name on some forms.
Will this cause any issues with USCIS?
Is it okay as long as the full name matches, or should this be corrected?
Would appreciate any advice from people who experienced this.

I received an RFE for medical 1.5 years ago when my PD wasn’t current, and I sent it back, but I haven’t received any update on whether they received it or not. Has anyone experienced the same? Please share your thoughts. My PD just became current, and I’m curious about the RFE.
Note: My case is in a field office as I see the address on RFE.
EAD Approval
My EAD renewal had been pending since July 2024, and it was finally approved today. I was about to lose my job in two months because my auto-extension was about to expire—thanks be to God! I contacted my Congressman and provided a letter from my employer (employment verification) and evidence of my bills (lease, insurance, etc.). They requested an expedited review of my case based on financial hardship. Within a month, my EAD was approved. I pray that God’s favor and grace help everyone waiting for their EADs so they don’t lose their jobs and get approved as well.
