Case Processing
RFE after 525 days Nebraska Center, PD 01/05/24 EB2 NIW
Hy Everyone, Today I received a RFE for my I-140. it was submitted on January 5, 2024 Nebraska Center, all this time 525 dias waiting for my approval but Today I updated my status and I found a RFE. I am worried honestly, I have a question this RFE affects my date of last action? for adjust status if is approve.
A bank says I have a SSN 😵💫
last weekend I came to a dealership to get a new car, said I had no SSN and that I’d like to use my itin for credit checks. for my surprise, I was told that there’s a ssn tied to my name in addition to the itin. (which they didn’t provide me a number)
I’ve never requested one to SSA but I have a I140 petition going on. could it have been automatically issued? what should I do?
Anyone has had experience of the outcome after upgrading an EB2 NIW to premium after an RFE?
my case is at Nebraska Service Center and my priority date is Sep 2023. I answered an RFE challenging the national importance 10 months ago. If I upgrade to premium processing, do you consider it may trigger a denial?. Should I leave the application as it is and wait for a decision that may be lengthy, considering current backlogs?
To God be all the glory, you are next for Approval, Amen 🙏🏽
We originally started this process in November 2023 then had to redo it all over. It was hard and challenging for my hubby and I and my son but God did it. Keep praying and lifting your faith, I declare and decree that God will work it out for you Amen 🙌🏽

Anyone here F2A + from banned countries?
Hi everyone,
Is anyone here in the F2A visa category and from one of the 12 countries affected by Trump’s travel ban (like Iran, Yemen, etc.)?
What are you planning to do? Or do you have any idea what we can do now?
Would love to hear from others in the same boat 🙏

I-140 Approval and 485 AOS
PD: current
received: November 2023
COB: Philippines
Concurrently filed with 485 under regular processing, got my combo card February 2024.
Filed premium processing on April 2025 and received notification that USCIS received my premium processing but still no changes up to date and I-140 status showing as “received” ever since. Is this normal? Any thoughts or ideas how long this will take more? any suggestions what to do? Thanks!!
edit: received approval. how long does AOS usually take from 140 approval? concurrently filed with 140 and current priority date.

Can anyone tell me what this means?
UCIS Issues New Alert: Effective June 6, 2025, USCIS has rescinded its policy of considering deferred action for special immigrant minors, including those filing Form I-360, Petition for Amerasian, Widow(er), or Special Immigrant, when an immigrant visa number is not immediately available. See the Policy Alert for more information.https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/document/policy-manual-updates/20250606-SIJDeferredAction.pdf
Combo Interview (I751&N400) at San Antonio
I had my combo interview today at San Antonio field office. All the personnel and the officers were kind. My interview started with the Civic test while my wife and my 2 year old son were in the room, too. After it was over the officer asked my wife to sit next to me and asked us questions about how we met and how we manage our finances. It was more like chatting with a friend rather then being interviewed by a federal officer. The officer was really nice — she even walked our son to the waiting room to help us. They did not have a same day ceremony, so I am now waiting for my ceremony invitation to finalize this journey. Feel free to ask me your questions if you have any.

NVC Update
Hey Guys! just wanted to share my timeline so that it can give you some perspective on how things progress and what to expect once your case reaches the NVC. Hearing the stories of others helps to give a sense on how long things may take since there isn't much info found online.
February 28th, 2024: I130 submitted to the USCIS
March 7th,2024: Active Review 1
May 12, 2025: Active Review 2
May 12th,2025: case approved (approval under documents tab. 440 days to approval. California service center).
May 15th,2025: case sent to the Department of State (NVC).
May 15th,2025: NVC welcome letter.
May 30th,2025: Submitted all required documents.
June 11th: DQ (12 calendar days, 8 working days).
Now, just waiting for the interview letter. According to the timeframe posted by the NVC, its currently taking about 13 days to review documents. This timeframe is the most accurate piece of information. So, if you're waiting for DQ notice, your best bet would be to look at https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/nvc-timeframes.html to get a sense of how long it will take before your documents are reviewed. Interview dates depend on the embassy that your case would be forwarded to. To see how long your embassy is taking to schedule interviews please visit: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/iv-wait-times.html I hope this information is useful for those of you looking to find info on what to expect when it comes to the NVC stage. Keep in mind everyone's timeline will be slightly different but I hope this gives a general sense of how things go. It's definitely a long process. Patience is the key. While you wait, the best thing to do is gather all the documents that would be needed for submission to the NVC. Apply in advance for the required police certificate so that it's in hand and ready for submission to the NVC.

Second interview
Hello guys it’s been 55 days since I had my interview April 16 2025 was my interview everything went well and was quick no issues whatsoever the officer was nice and we thought we did good because she looks happy with our evidence but it’s been 55 days since interview and case is being actively reviewed so I tried to ask Emma agent and she told me that an interview was requested but not yet scheduled at this time ! this was very sad news knowing that second interview it doesn’t end well and propably we will be stressed and we can make mistakes so the officer would think the worse ! anyone had the same experience ?
