Case Processing
we are processing your case notification after 19 months
Filed i130/i485 under CR1 in Dec 2023, then i130 approval in July 2024. Medical rfe sent to USCIS in April 2024 but then no update until today saying that we are processing your i485.
Has anyone had a similar experience? What does this even mean?
waiting on a miracle
It’s a bittersweet kind of quiet, watching others cross the finish line while you’re still counting the milestones on the map.
We tell ourselves the right timing is being built. Until then, we’re stacking up the PTO, guarding our peace, and holding tight to the fact that we’re already home in each other.
Rooting hard for every single name still stuck on processing. May your approval notice find you when you least expect it. 🤍

Naturalization questions
Hello,
Does anyone know about this situation and can help answer questions or if have been through this or know someone who did.
so I am maaried to a US citizen in 2025. I got my greencard in 2026 through employment based ( NOT marriage based ) so will i still be able to apply for naturalization using the 3 year rule or do i have to wait 5 years to apply for naturalizations since my GC is through employment based.
Any help/insight would be appreciated. Thanks
Advice
I attended my I-485 interview with my lawyer, and my lawyer informed the officer that I had already filed for VAWA. I was present at the interview, and they also took my fingerprints. However, when I got home and checked my Lawfully app, it showed that no one appeared for the interview. But I definitely attended the interview, and my lawyer told the officer that I had already filed for VAWA.
Orlando Office
Hi, my case was submitted Sept 2025.
-Adjustment of status ( citizen spouse)
-Never received my employment authorization
-My interview was scheduled for August 2026
Our interview went well, didn’t ask anything about form I-130 mostly security questions and immigration history (asylum case closed and TPS )
officer told us that we could be called for a second interview but didn’t give me any paper after the interview, and kept telling us that we were good so that gave us confidence. Still haven’t heard anything back and no updates either in the USCIS portal after “interview scheduled”.
Anyone in the DC / Northern Virginia area who filed N-400 around Jan or Feb 2026?
I filed in January and I’m still waiting for the interview. Curious if people from the same area and similar filing dates have started getting interview notices yet.
If you filed around that time, when did you file and have you received your interview date?
Washington DC field office / DMV area.
Today marks 753 days since I last received a response.
My marriage-based green card application has been pending for 753 days without any response. I filed my application in August 2024 and completed my interview on April 7, 2025. Since then, my case has gone completely silent. On the day of my interview, the immigration officer requested some additional documents verbally, but I never received any official Request for Evidence (RFE) afterward. This situation is incredibly frustrating.
To address this, my lawyer filed an August 4, 2026, pre-mandamus motion, giving the immigration agency 60 days to respond. My lawyer mentioned that they usually respond promptly and assist in progressing the case, but I haven’t received any response yet. I’m hoping to receive a response before the 60-day deadline. If I don’t receive a response, I’ll have no choice but to file a writ of mandamus myself since I can’t afford to continue paying my lawyer.
I genuinely hope that one day, the immigration agency will listen to my case and the cases of others who are waiting in line. This situation is extremely stressful and frustrating, and I’m at my wit’s end.
GreenCard approved
believe in God, I dreamt yesterday with Him and today after 5 years of wait I finally got approved, no interview, no parole, no WP before
you turn will be here soon
could be even on a Sunday

Sharing my I-140 approval story under RB2-NIW
I recently received approval of my EB-2 NIW petition and wandered to share my experience with Chen Immagration for anyone who may be considering hiring attorney for NIW petition.
I initially filled my case on July 20, 2025 in normal timeline but upgraded to premium processing on June 22, 2026 and get approval notification on Aug 20, 2026.
overall, my experience with this firm was very positive. one thing I appreciated the most was thier quick and timely response of any question. Another aspect was dedicated attorney to my case. This way I donot need to explain every thing from the beginning as my attorney was well aware of the recent progress.
In financing, they were very transparent and there was no hidden fee.
I would recommend Chen immigration to anyone looking for immigration attorney, specifically for EB2-NIW.
Thanks
