Naturalization questions
Hello,
Does anyone know about this situation and can help answer questions or if have been through this or know someone who did.
so I am maaried to a US citizen in 2025. I got my greencard in 2026 through employment based ( NOT marriage based ) so will i still be able to apply for naturalization using the 3 year rule or do i have to wait 5 years to apply for naturalizations since my GC is through employment based.
Any help/insight would be appreciated. Thanks

You can apply for naturalization after 3 year of marriage.

@C R their permanent residency status is through employment though. Not marriage.

@BrAn _ It doesn’t matter. You can still apply for citizenship after 3 year of marriage.

@C R Have you or anyone you know have done it that? or where did you get that information from? i asked couple lawyers one of them said yes the other wasn’t sure so I’m confused.
