Changing Names
My wife and I applied with her unmarried name for green card. When we got SSN and work permit, we changed everything over to her married name. We re-applied for work permit to change her name and everything.
However, they just sent her travel permit with her unmarried name. Will they try to send green card with unmarried name as well?
Second marriage, secondary time applying
Has anyone experienced second marriage and second time applying? I know it sounds crazy but all of it legit and because of a bad lawyer in the past, NOID letter, divorce, new relationship, new marriage and now reapplying. Can anyone share any super professional lawyer ro help me? Or a story similar to mine please share.
EAD If you read this and have waited over 200 days please comment 🙏
Hi 👋 I am debating on asking a congressman for help with my EAD. I am at day 236 I think 💭.
Please comment if you have waited this long or longer. I contacted my congressman but I am worried about using his help for this (if it does any good) or waiting if I might need his help down the road. Someone on the app pointed this out to me and it really made me think.
Really trying to make my anxiety go down with all of this. I know there is a lot of uncertainty with the election. I am personally not too worried but my thoughts and prayers go out to those that are worried about upcoming changes.
Wishing everyone the best.

where to file I-765 for VAWA applicant.
I have filed my VAWA about 1.5years ago. I’ve filed I-765along with VAWA, but I chose (c)(31). So I just refiled I-765 with (c)(9) category to the Vermont Service center, since my prima facie determination mail told me to.
the mail says,
“You will be notified separately about any other applications or petitions you filed. Save this notice.
Please enclose a copy of it if you write to us about this case, or if you file another application based on this decision.
Our address is:
USCIS Vermont Service”
However, they sent me back with saying “please resubmit to the correct filing location.”
I put the copy of prima facie notice, but I did not put it on the top of all the documents, is this a reason that they did not notice? or Should’ve I filed to the filing location that USCIS listed on their website? which is Arizona since I live in Tennessee?
please help me out so I can finally work here🥹
