Well, if you got your green card through consulate processing (outside of US), is highly likely will request your biometric, but if you got it through adjustment of status ( I-485) there is very very tiny chance would let you redo biometric. Fees wise, you are paying for it either ways!

I’m doing a removal of conditions and they sent me the notice of biometrics re-use, which means they’ll reuse my biometric info from my I-485 and I don’t have to come in and do another biometrics

I got my GC through i485. USCIS asked biometric when I filed i751. Don’t know why but they do ask for it again.
