asylum-based I-485 interview
Hi everyone,
I have an upcoming interview for my asylum-based I-485 application at the USCIS Columbus, Ohio field office.
Has anyone recently had their interview there? If so, how was your experience, and what types of questions were asked? Any tips on what to expect or how to prepare would be greatly appreciated.

does anyone know how to change your mailing address with Uscis my lawyer set up all mails coming from uscis to go to his address I have been reaching out to him for over a month now with no response I email him tired to call and still no response this got me really worried now that I might get update without knowing

Subject: Missed intial opt Biometrics Appointment – Rescheduling Inquiry
I Missed my scheduled biometrics appointment on April 8, 2026. I contacted USCIS on May 19, 2026, and was informed that my appointment would be rescheduled within 30 days.
It has now been approximately 21 days since I made that request, and I am still waiting for the new appointment notice.
I also visited the USCIS office with my original appointment letter, but I was informed that walk-ins are not permitted.
I would appreciate any guidance on the following:
1. Has anyone else experienced missing a biometrics appointment?
2. If so, how long did it take to receive a rescheduled appointment?

due to mail delay all these happened.

At that time, USCIS informed me that the appointment would be rescheduled within 30 days. I approached them on 19th may about my rescheduling appointment. It is almost 21days still iam waiting for an appointment reschedule.
I Visted uscis with my old appointment they are not allowing walk in's.
status changed to case approved
Hello 2022 EB1 community.
My case got approved today morning including my 2 derivatives.
PD: Nov7th-2022/EB1B/India/ with MSC receipt.
I-140 approved in Dec13th-2022 (Within 32 days; in a normal process).
RD: Dec29th,2022 (PD is current when I filed AOS).
Dates went retrogressed with in 15days after I-140 approval in Dec-2022.
case went CRP in 2023.
Medical RFE sent Aug-2025.
Medical RFE response received on Sep-2025.
Again status went CRP in Dec-2025.
PD became current in Jan-2026 visa bulletin
No update after PD becomes current
Raised a congressman request in Jan-2026 (Didn’t help).
In May-2026 Case moved from NBC to San Bernardino FO.
Case approved-June12th-2026.
