Hello, you need to write to the NVC because if a year passes without payment, the case is dropped; it has to be sent back to USCIS, and you will have to file the petition all over again—you have already lost a lot of time.

We mailed 2 seperate checks, 1 for petitioner and 1 for applicant fee. If you have a lawyer let them know. 1 year without payment can cancel your petition.

@Esme Chavez you mailed cash or what? I don’t know you can do that and our lawyer said we should wait for another email from NVC to ask us to pay before it will go through. I’m just confused
