Subject: Missed intial opt Biometrics Appointment – Rescheduling Inquiry
I Missed my scheduled biometrics appointment on April 8, 2026. I contacted USCIS on May 19, 2026, and was informed that my appointment would be rescheduled within 30 days.
It has now been approximately 21 days since I made that request, and I am still waiting for the new appointment notice.
I also visited the USCIS office with my original appointment letter, but I was informed that walk-ins are not permitted.
I would appreciate any guidance on the following:
1. Has anyone else experienced missing a biometrics appointment?
2. If so, how long did it take to receive a rescheduled appointment?

iam waiting for my biometrics rescheduling appointment

I missed my appointment as well and I called uscis and spoke to an agent that was able to help me put in the request. The next day I got a new appointment and I was able to reschedule that to a closer date online. I’m still waiting for my approval so I think missing the initial might have delayed my approval
