asylum-based I-485 interview
Hi everyone, I have an upcoming interview for my asylum-based I-485 application at the USCIS Columbus, Ohio field office. Has anyone recently had their interview there? If so, how was your experience, and what types of questions were asked? Any tips on what to expect or how to prepare would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Hello everyone, and thank you all for your advice and information. I had my interview today, and the officer was super friendly. We went through my I-485 application and made a few corrections to my address, occupation, professional degrees, and other basic information. Overall, it felt more like a friendly conversation. The officer didn't ask for any documents other than my ID and passport(s). My lawyer was actually very helpful this time, especially when it came to answering questions about policies and recent legal changes that I wasn't familiar with. At the end, the officer said they would be giving a favorable opinion, but my background check hasn't cleared yet. My USCIS case status currently says: "Interview Was Completed And My Case Must Be Reviewed." I'm not sure what happens next or how long I should expect to wait. Has anyone had a similar experience? How long did it take before you received an update?
