hi guys, I just had an interview yesterday with my husband in NYC Immigration office in Manhattan. My husband is citizen, and he petitioned for my green card. The interview was like about 30mins-ish, and it went pretty quick. At the end of the interview, the officer gave us a white paper notice saying that “your case is being held for review, ……”, and then after few hours(same day) my USCIS account changed to “Case Is Being Actively Reviewed By USCIS” for both I130, and 485. can someone please let me know what that means? anyone has similar situation? please help, thank you!! 🙏🏼 #greencard #F2A #Citizen #NYC
I-751 (Divorce Waiver) Transferred Multiple Times – Now at Field Office, No Update
Hi everyone,
I wanted to share my situation and see if anyone else has gone through something similar.
I filed my I-751 (Removal of Conditions) in March 2024 after getting divorced during my 2-year conditional green card period. My conditional green card expired in April 2025.
Here’s how my case has moved so far:
- Filed in March 2024 → initially sent to Texas Service Center (TSC) per receipt notice
- Around February 2025 → USCIS told me my case was transferred to Potomac Service Center
- As of today (April 23, 2026) → USCIS says my case is now at Omaha Field Office, with no updates or decisions yet
One thing that confuses me is that Omaha is not my local field office—I live in Texas
It’s been over 2 years since filing, and I’m unsure what these multiple transfers mean for my case.
Has anyone else had their I-751 (especially divorce waiver cases) transferred across multiple service centers and then to a non-local field office like this?
Did it lead to an interview or any specific outcome?
Any insights or timelines from similar experiences would really help. Thanks in advance!

APPROVED I-485, I-360
Had my I-485 interview yesterday after approved I-360 petition in 2024. Status today shows I-485 Green card is APPROVED. 6 whole years of turmoil with 17 Notices of Actions, 6 EADs, multiple Prima Facies and a whole lot of mental, physical and emotional warfare. Through this process, I stand as testimony that patience is truly a virtue and delay is definitely not denial. It still feels like a dream. I am thankful to God Almighty, family, friends, and to all the people of lawfully who strive to achieve the American dream. Though not an easy road, indeed it is possible. I urge everyone to persist in faith, live a good life, and don’t lose yourself during this process. Happy Holidays!

VAWA was approved in November 2024. Medicals were received in February 2025. The case was transferred to the Boston office, and after 10 months, I am still waiting for a decision. More than 4 months since I replied to the RFE/ Case open since July 2021
This is so stressful that I want to cancel everything.
This is ridiculous now.
With everything going on with this new administration, we are barely breathing when going out to work because ICE is doing whatever they want.
We have children, we have lives and we are humans.
What type of treatment is this?
We live without actually breathing properly because anytime anything can happen.
