Finally Approved Spousal Visa I130 American Wife petitioner Nigerian husband. pd August 11th 2023 Approved October 24th 2024 California Service Center
First off I want to Thank God that we finally got through the USCIS stage after 440 days waiting Our prayers have been answered. I'm just so grateful as I recently had my daughter 3 months and we have been waiting since August 2023 of last year. We tried requesting expedite a few times knowing I wanted my husband to be here to witness the birth of his 1st daughter. Although he wasn't here physically, mentally and emotionally he has been. This journey has been so hard on us with already so much distance between us. So yesterday October 24th 2024 I received a phone notification from Lawfully that there had been an update on our case, but when trying to log into USCIS the verification code wasn't coming through for me to log in. So I waited with anticipation to see when I would finally be able to log in. once I did I immediately went to the documents tab an typically where I uploaded the receipt I saw there was 2 documents instead of only being 1. My heart was pounding as I open the file and begin to read the approval letter. it was like 1am my husbands time I called him like 4 times until he picked up the phone to share the good news! I still haven't gotten an email but the approved letter was in documents and now after all that waiting 440 days we can move to NVC STAGE!!! Praying for so many people in the same situation took 14 1/2 months but God did it for us. Still Speechless!! Please keep faith it's going to happen. We did not hire a lawyer we did all the work and put together a Bonifide packet ourselves with 4 full PowerPoint pages of pics, receipts of trips I've take (flights, airbnb stays), my paybstubs for last 6 months, my Credit Cards I put in my name with my married name, added him as authorized user, added my husband to 401k Finance documents, our marriage certificates, Letters of Affidavit from his mom and my best friends, Both or Birth Certificate, Passports and Idenfication documents, my daughters Certificate of Birth from Hospital, Expedite request came later but never approved we also reach out to our Congress women and was denied approval for Expedite. We reached out to the White House again no Expedite approval, but we kept the faith knowing everything we uploaded was more than what was asked. I just want to have my little family together in the same place 🙏🏿 I'm grateful the light at the end of the tunnel is coming! #USCIS #I130 #Nigeria #Spousal #CaliforniaServiceCenter #NVC #FAMILY #GREENCARD

3.5 years later and GC finally approved 😭(after interview)
hi guys! my time has finally come!!! I was so worried the last 2 months but everything worked out. I’m going to tell you guys how my interview went because I searched high and low and couldn’t find much. so I had posted here that I felt that my case wasn’t right, because instead of approval they just said biometric applied, so a couple of weeks later my lawyer told me that they scheduled an interview back in the state where I applied my vawa (which I don’t live there anymore) and she told me that they could refuse to take my interview because I moved and send me to do one where I live now. or I could just have 2 interviews, you never know… we would only know on the day and she didn’t want to miss it because we could be lucky and they would just do my interview, again, you never know.. so the day of my interview was the 15th, had my lawyer with me, my appointment was at 9am, we waited around 15min until the officer called us in, he asked for my identification, and started the questions, confirmed that my case was a vawa, asked my last date of arrival in the us and if I ever left the country after I arrived (which was no), asked if I was ever convicted of any crime, if I was ever in front of a immigration judge (all no), if I was still married (no) asked for the record, asked if my spouse was an American citizen (which she wasn’t at the time, now I have no idea), then proceeded to confirm I had said yes to working without autorization and that I said yes that I violated the terms of my visa, he asked how long I worked without authorization and why I violated the terms of my visa (overstayed and worked without authorization), he then asked when me and my spouse separated (I asked if it was the divorce and he said no, so I said the date) my lawyer later said he couldn’t have asked that but he didnt ask a lot of questions and felt it was ok not to intervene, he then proceeded to tell me he wrote everything down and asked me to sign the 485 that the interview was done 🙏🏼😭 my lawyer confirmed he had my medicals and also gave him my 864 (I believe) in case they needed it, he said yes and ok. printed a piece of paper and handed to me and my lawyer, he said we were done with the interview, he would do another check and if I wasn’t a spy lol or committed any crime I should be good and would hear back from them in about 3/4 weeks, asked if I had any questions I said no, and he walked us out. I felt such a relieve, everything was around 15min and my lawyer said everything went great. I was just thinking that I would be refreshing the app for the rest of the week and 10min after the interview he approved my case. GOD BLESS THIS MAN!!!! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 if you’re on the process just wait and that your turn is coming, the feeling of everything finally looking good after all that frustration is unbeatable! 🤍✨ #vawa #greencard #interview
