Case Processing
Outside Normal Processing Time Service Request
I applied for VAWA on April 22, 2022, so next month it will be 46 months.
On the USCIS website, the posted processing time is 46 months, so I assume I can submit an Outside Normal Processing Time Service Request, which is a request asking USCIS to review a case that has exceeded the normal processing time.
Has anyone done this before?
Is it worth doing?
I see that it can be done online.
Should I ask my lawyer to submit it, or can I do it by myself?
Or should I just keep waiting, considering everything that’s going on with immigration right now?

GREEN CARD APPROVAL ✨
I would like to share my approval! I was waiting almost 3 years to hold this card!
First, my husband was a green card holder, so I knew it would take some time, but in the middle of this process, it changed because he became a U.S. citizen.
After that, it took 1 year and 2 months to have an interview.
I know that you think your day will never come, but trust in god and believe it!!!

75 Suspended Countries 😮💨
For us who are now with suspended cases!
We don't know how long it will take. Next month was going to be 3 years I was waiting. Now I don't know for how long I will have to wait again. God Help us 🙏🏽
Do you guys think they'll continue to work on our cases while it is suspended?
Interview for Green Card Cancelled 106 Days Ago – No Reschedule, EAD Pending 307 Days (California)
Hi everyone,
I’m hoping to get some advice or hear from people with similar experiences.
I am in California and currently waiting for my marriage-based green card interview. My interview was cancelled 106 days ago, and my total adjustment of status process has now been pending for 307 days. The USCIS status says that the interview should be rescheduled, but so far nothing has happened.
In addition, my EAD (work permit) has also been pending for 307 days. I already completed biometrics, but there have been no updates since then. Because of this delay, I lost my job on October 28, 2025, and I am still unable to work legally.
So far:
• We have called USCIS multiple times
• My attorney sent a written inquiry
• A congresswoman’s office also submitted an inquiry
Despite all of this, there has been no movement or response on either the interview rescheduling or the EAD.
Has anyone experienced such a long delay after a cancelled interview?
Is there anything else I can realistically do at this point to push USCIS to act?
Any advice or shared experiences would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
Approved at interview!
PD Mar 25, 2025, I-131 approved Dec 15, 2025. Interview for I-485 was scheduled for Jan 20 in Montgomery, Alabama. Only asked 2 questions and told me I was approved!! Didn't look at anything in my binder. Prayers for everyone still waiting 🙏
