VAWA I-485 Pending — Anyone With a Similar Timeline?
My VAWA has been approved, but my I-485 has been pending for about 15 months. Biometrics were completed in February 2026. No RFE so far. I also submitted a service request but haven’t received any meaningful update.
Has anyone with a similar VAWA-based I-485 timeline been approved recently? How long did it take after biometrics? I’m also considering a writ of mandamus due to the delay and would appreciate hearing from anyone who has taken that route.

your timeline shows 533 days is about 17-18 months not 15 months?

did you call USCIS and ask where is your case at? such has NBC, VSC or local FO? your timeline shows biometrics in May 2025, did you redo the biometrics in Feb 2026 again?

@kiki K applied feb 2025 and case was transffered to another office in June 2025. yes its more than 15 months now

@J J I did called them, they said its in local office in NY. yes they did biometrics again this year

I’m also waiting on my I-485; it was transferred on January 16, 2025. It’s been 19 months now, and still nothing.

have you traveled with advance parole after vawa approval?

@anonymous h I submitted my 485 last June and did biometrics in this Feb 2026 as well. I got update in March that my case was transferred to VSC, then another update in June that my case was transferred to NBC. I also called Uscis and my case was in FO since June.
