Are F2A category ( permanent lawfully resident applying for spouse) will be effect by president?
Hi All
I am permanent lawfully resident in usa. I have applied for my husband in August 2, 2023. USCIS is showing the case is actively reviewing. And its been more than a year but no updates.
After election I am very worried about my petition. Does anyone have any idea will it affect on the petition?
N-400 San Diego California, feedback if it helps
I applied for my 10 years green card in July 2022. In February 2024 I applied for the naturalization because my green card was still pending. after 2-3 weeks my 10 years green card was approved without interview. then in September I received the notice for interview for November 5.
my case is 3 mariage mariage and 3 years green card eligibility. My interview was around 10:50 at the office. my spouse was not required to be at the interview but we went anyway. the security mentioned we could have guest. they verified the appointment letter and both our ID before entering the building. I arrived early and waited outside until the office allowed everyone to enter. they sent everyone to check in then send us to the interview floor. I was called by my officer alone (my spouse waited in the waiting room). my officer was nice (which I hoped for), they asked me to civic question (1-what did the emancipation proclamation do, 2-when do we vote, 3- what ocean was in the east cost, 4-who make federal law, 5- how many senators are there, 6- name 3 original colonies). I learned all these from USCIS website free tool learning and YouTube videos.
they asked me to read a sentence ( I don’t remember this sentence) and asked me to write (we pay our taxes.).
then my application: name, birth day, address, if that’s my address for the last 5 years, what I do for work and if I work remotely, my travel plans (I traveled a lot outside of US), when was my last travel, what countries I have visited and the purposes. if I have any travel plan coming soon (I said yes).
then the yes or no question.
I got approved. I did the same day oath (5 minutes).
The entire process took less than 1h. I entered the building at 10:45 ishhh and exist the building around 11:40.
I hope this feedback helps.

feeling depressed/ FASFA
got up feeling really depressed and started crying because of the outcome of this election. I applied for nursing school and also applied for FASFA everything was going good and I was suppose to start school this Saturday since I applied for only weekend classes. now the school is saying I need my greencard for the FASFA. has anyone FASFA been approved without greencard. I have my social and work permit. on my online account my FASFA says “processed” so that means it was approved right?
