Request for Initial Evidence
Hello everyone,
I just got notified that my I-485 and I-130 status changed to Request for Initial Evidence Was Sent. Any ideas that could be? My PD is Oct 5th, 2021. Biometrics are already taken. Been in “Actively Reviewed” since then. I’m just very worried this might cause long delays.

hi, someone with pending adjustment of status based on work visa that applied on May 2021 already received the combo card?

ead healthcare workers
anyone have experience in getting ther initial EAD expedited based on the fact they are a healthcare worker? I know they said they would expedite all EAD renewals, but this is my first EAD. I was contemplating calling them and asking for expedite based on my active nursing license.
Has anyone been successful with an initial EAD expedite? Or do I need a job offer as well?

I've filled my I-130 back in 2018 and it was received in Feb 2019. I haven't seen any updates from the California Service Center. My mother keep bugging me about it too. Also, if my father changes his status from Resident to Citizen would that help with anything?

I GOT A RESPONSE FROM MY SENATOR REGARDING MY CASE.
I request that my case be expedited at USCIS for medical reasons. It is to be more than 5 months without answer. So I wrote to my Senator. Last night I received this email from his office.
"Your constituent’s case was assigned to an Adjudications Officer; however, the case is pending background check clearance. A small percentage of applications and petitions have unresolved background check issues that temporarily delay adjudication. Although USCIS makes every effort to resolve such cases promptly, USCIS is unable to speculate when the background check will be completed. If a background check reveals an issue that may impact an applicant’s eligibility for the requested immigration benefit, further inquiry is needed. Upon gathering and assessing all available information, USCIS will adjudicate the petition as quickly as possible."
In 2011, the night my husband decided to leave the house where he lived with his ex-wife, and while he was arranging his things in the room, she had no better idea than to call the police and say that he assaulted and added that she was pregnant, even though that was not true, for which he was arrested and charged with aggravated assault. Later she herself went to court and changed the story saying that she thought she was pregnant and that he did not attack her, but only pushed her against the sofa. Then the accusation was changed to assault, then the case was dismissed, but since he was in the United States in an irregular situation, he had to go before an immigration judge, who granted him voluntary departure from the country. So I guess that's why. Now I am so worried that I will not be able to return to the United States 😭
So,i guess i have to keep waiting 🙄
Request for Initial Evidence
After finally thinking I was on the verge of getting somewhere with my EAD expedite request after receiving an email saying the request for my expedite request was received and a decision will be made shortly. My I-485 status was updated saying that I was sent a Request for Initial Evidence. Does anyone has any similar experience? I'm thinking maybe it has to do with my affidavit support documents (W2 or tax transcripts) since I filed the request due to financial loss to an individual or company.
Potomac Center Approvals March?
Has anyone seen any movement in the Potomac office at all? Does anybody have any idea what months they might be on right now? Or has anyone seen any movement from February or March 2021?
