Case Processing
Should I call for a follow-up?
Hi. I had my interview last Feb. 4, 2022 (Chatsworth, Ca) for my I-485 and fortunately the interview went fast & well. The officer told us that he approved my case for the green card. however, during that day their system is not working so instead of doing the digital signing, he lets me sign on the paper instead, and he’ll just transfer it once the system is back on. It’s almost 2 weeks now but there’s no update yet on my app. I was just wondering since my friend got her green card after just a week of her interview.
Do i need to follow up on them? or do I just wait for the update? thank you in advance.

Congressman Request
My case has been pending for 2 years now and out of processing time by 11 months. After multiple service requests to USCIS with unsuccessful results , I finally reached out to my congressman last month.
Last week, they finally emailed me back to let me know that they reached out to USCIS for a case inquiry.
Anyone knows how long USCIS take to answer to Congressional inquiries?
Any input will be appreciated. Thanks!

I-485 Marriage-Based in Sacramento, CA
Hello everyone!
I have a question about my RFE.
I had my interview on January 28, 2022 and the officer said that I need it to retake my medical examen since I applied for my Green Card back in October 2019. I got my RFE February 1st, 2022 and sent my results February 5th, 2022 to the Sacramento FO (California).
I know it’s still pretty soon, but how long does it usually take for them to make a decision? The officer said that everything was fine, she just needed the medical record in order to approve my case.
I have my brother’s wedding in Spain in 20 days and I had everything planned to attend it but the officer took my AP in the interview and I can’t leave now. I’m kinda desperate right now. My case status doesn’t even show that they sent me a RFE. I don’t know if that’s normal too.
Thank you in advance.

I-485 approved, but no I-130 updates yet
Hi all,
Just curious if anyone’s been in this situation. Our interview was exactly 2 weeks ago and my I-485 just got approved today (yay!) however there hasn’t been any updates yet online for the I-130. Is there anything to worry about? I was thinking I-130 should be approved first. 🤔 We filed concurrently btw.
Do they complete applications in order received?
Hi everyone! I wanted to ask if these service centers review applications on the order they receive it or at random?
I applied March of 2021 and still no response for I-130. I’ve seen other people at the Patomac Service Center applying for the same visa be approved even though they applied much later than me. Is this normal?
Also, has anyone received interview date from Islamabad? I’ve heard of people waiting for over a year for an interview date and still nothing… 😞 if anyone can explain to me what’s going on with this delay. thank you!
I-693 Deficiency Notice (I-485)
I just login my USCIS account and see “courtesy letter to applicant” which was sent on 12th February, what should I expect, anyone had this experience? does this mean I should expect interview soon or my case moved to FO? my case is marriage based,NBC .

IR1 faster than IR5/ Parents GC slower process?
why does it seem like Spouse Green Card cases are being processed faster than USC filing for a Parent?
i thought Parents Green Card comes faster but a lot of other folks with PD date after me are getting approved. i am happy for all those you are getting approval but this definitely was not my understanding that Parents Green Card takes longer than other cases.

“Adjudication Process”
Hi — tried to expedite my EAD today (filed July 2021, NBC) and the Emma agent told me that it’s impossible because my case is “already in adjudication.”
Does this mean a decision is coming soon? Or are they just trying to get people not to expedite?
Please reply if you’ve had something similar happen (don’t want to create false hope)
