mine I-130 never updated but my I-485 approved and card was delivered to me

my lawyer said when they update I-130. The status will be denied since you don’t need it, you already have I 485 approved

@youssef yb, thanks! no not on the spot, we were given the paper that says my case needs to be reviewed. But my online status stayed “Interview Scheduled” until today when it changed to “Case Approved”

you didnt have to file a I-130 if you and your spouse already living in the state. That form is only for consulate processing

only need to file i485

@drkr deer, what is your priority date? all you need to look for is the "card being produced" status on 485

The I-130 and I-485 have to be filed both because the I-130 is your spouse’s petition for you

i485 is for adjustment of status. only if you have a status in the state for example a student visa or a work visa

after interview, second day my 485 was approved. then after 1 day 130 got updated with : we are actively reviewing it. and another day later, it was written on 130 that its approved

Update- I went to the online account of the I-130 and under the documents tab was the approval notice 😄 So they just didn’t change the status online anymore but notice was mailed. Thank you and good luck to all!
