Case Processing
Please help!
Hi! I already have an SSN on my J-1 program before but has a “Valid for Work Only with DHS Authorization” and with my maiden name on it. Now my question is now that I already have my EAD card with me (with my married name), do I have to go to the SS office to have my name and information changed to renew my Driver’s License or do I just have to wait my i-485 Green Card approval? If I wait will that be a problem when applying for a job? I have read tons of info but one and the other says differently. Please help, Thanks!
2nd initial evidence request
Does anyone have experience with a similar situation? I responded to a request for initial evidence (RFE) in the first week of February, which was related to medical. USCIS acknowledged receiving my medical documents. However, today, I received an update on Lawfully stating that a new request for initial evidence has been sent. What should I expect next?
APPROVED Glory to God
After 20 years on this journey, today I finally received on-the-spot approvals for both my I-485 and I-130 petitions! All glory to God, and to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!
Here’s how it all went down:
I arrived at the USCIS field office in Tampa at 10:15 AM. Around 11:30 AM, my wife, my attorney, and I were called in. As expected, we began by raising our right hands and taking the oath. Once we sat down, the officer smiled and said, “I’m going to make this quick. You’re pretty much set, and I DEFINITELY don’t need any more evidence.”
The only two questions I was asked were:
• Where did you meet?
• When did you buy your house?
That was it! The interview was smooth, lighthearted, and even filled with laughter and jokes. But what makes this moment even more remarkable is how complicated my case has been. Over ten years ago, I was mistakenly issued a green card I should’ve never had. I only discovered the error four years ago at my Naturalization interview, when I was told that my green card had been invalid all along. Still, because it had never been rescinded, I technically maintained status.
Today, that long and uncertain chapter is finally closed. God has delivered me from what felt like a never-ending nightmare. At the end of the interview, I handed the officer a letter I had drafted, making the case to get credit for the five years I’ve been married to my wife so I could apply for citizenship sooner. After a discussion with my attorney, the officer concluded that I can apply for citizenship as soon as I receive my green card.
Let me just say this: God NEVER fails. What He starts, He finishes. And won’t He do it again! All glory belongs to Him. Only God could have done this.

Notice of Action letter
Hi Everyone,
Does anyone has received 2 Notice of Action of I-360 from different time?
I mean I had filed on Jan 2022 that is my receive date. But I have 2 notice date: Jan 14,2022 and just recently 03/05/2025.
I don’t understand why that I have 2 different notice day like that.
Approved
I wanted to share my happiness about being approved! It’s great to see that cases from October, November, and December 2023 are being adjudicated.
Good luck to everyone! Since the day I posted my first message, I’ve wished the best for all of you and can’t wait to see your approvals soon!

Green card Holder with Final order removal BIA
My mom came to the US in 2007. She applied for asylum and it got denied in 2008, she later appealed to the BIA, and got denied as well, resulting in a final order of removal in November of 2009. She later got TPS in January 2010.
My brother a US citizen applied for her , and she obtained her green card in 2015. Now she would like to remove her removal order, and apply for her citizenship. We are afraid she might get denied since she shouldn’t had gotten her green card through USCIS before terminating her final order of removal. but somehow it was approved.
I also had final order and ask for prosecutorial discretion to get it removed so I can obtain my green card. We can no longer do that due to the current administration .
We were wondering if Coronado Acevedo could help in this situation and we can file termination directly with the BIA court without joint motion , on the basis she already got a green card or something like that?
Anything she can do at this point? Please let me know .Thanks!
