CASE APPROVED 🙏🏽
it’s been quite a journey but we finally got our case approved after our interview on the 11th. The officer told us right away.
I was asked to go in first and my wife joined me afterwards.
she asked me quite a few questions and based on my response she did the same when my wife joined. you know specifics etc while I stayed silent.
some questions she asked:
How did we meet where and why
the last movie we watched together
what we did for each others birthday/anniversary
If we’ve met each others family. sibling names of any and if any were at our wedding. Also where they resided.
if we had any kids etc, we have a dog so she asked questions around that.
who drove to the interview and the colour car etc.
where do we like to eat at and where did we last travel together
some silly ones like what are the colors of our toothbrush 😂
*****Funny enough we left our phones at home we weren’t sure if we were to carry them. The officer however, did ask if we had them on us as she would like to have a Quick Look.
I was a bit nervous but the officer we got was very laid back, nice and straight forward.
I loved to read the stories of others on this app while it helped me to prepare so I chose to share this bit. #finally

Hello guys, I submitted an inquiry about my pending N400 because I did not get an interview since 2022. Apprently I already did my removal of condition on my green card interview but it’s still pending approval. So after the inquiry for my N400 asking them why I haven’t been scheduled for an interview since 2022.
I got a reply today stating “I have been approved for oath of ceremony “ we will mail you a notice of time and date” but how is that possible if I haven’t had N400 interview yet.
I’m I going to have interview and oath of ceremony same day? someone please help me if you have thoughts on this. I’m currently in Seattle .
I-751 Finally approved after almost 4 years
-Filed I-751 in May of 2020
-Fingerprint re-used in January 2021
-Didn’t hear anything back until October 2023 when I got a RFE request
-The RFE request was nerve wrecking because my wife and I were separated at this point and living separately. We still had a joint bank account so I sent statements from that account and sent a letter explaining the separation to USCIS.
-April 2024, case got approved without interview.
-Pray about it and be transparent. Don’t stress about what you can’t control. I promise it’ll turn out okay, especially if you’ve made it as far as applying for the I-751. Stay positive and wait your approval.

U.S. Federal employee with foreign spouse
I recently accepted a position with the U.S. federal government as a U.S. citizen. My wife is a Greek citizen whom I've been married to for 12 yrs and share two children with dual citizenship (American/German). We are currently living in Germany working for the DoD as a contractor. I requested an expedited for Petition for Alien Relative i130 (260 days/ actively reviewing since September 20, 2023). I recently reached out to my congress reps for assistance and awaiting aa response. Does it make sense to contact a Immigration lawyer if our paperwork is in order? Can an Immigration lawyer really help expedite our case? Thank you for any insight.
