@Tim Moaeed Congrats! that’s a wait! did you also have a 751 pending?

congratulations!!!
Tim MAug 18, 2024
No 751. I have been a green card holder since 2000 lol. I was just too lazy to apply. In addition to that when I was 18 I got into a small fight in school. so they asked me about that. I was never convicted, but it showed up on my records. I think that’s why it took longer. But Thank god everything worked out.

@Tim M That’s good! I’m happy for you. I’m looking at updates once a week and it’s tiring to have your life on hold when you have plans and projects….

I hear you. The anxiety is not fun. Did you apply for N400 as well? what state ? and how long has it been?
John SmithAug 22, 2024
@Tim M I did in June this year, the FO will be Phoenix, AZ. Been 2 months and a half. I have a pending 751 for about 1.5 years now…

@Tim M Do you know how long it took you to receive an update that your interview was scheduled vs getting the interview notice by mail?
Tim MAug 23, 2024
Hello AJ, yes I can. I submitted my application (My attorney handled it) Dec 16th. 2023, Interview notice July 11th, and the date was determined about 12 days later. My interview day was 8/14/2024 and I took my oath the same day and became a citizen all on the same date. Pretty smooth on the day of the interview. So A-Z it took 7-8 months. Some cases are taking way longer and Some cases get resolved in 4 months. I guess it all depends on how busy they are and who your officer is. But be patient and I’m sure it will happen. Maybe talk to an attorney and see what they recommend.

was yours marriage based?after green card anniversary how long did you wait to apply for citizenship?
Tim MAug 25, 2024
No, it was not marriage based. I have been living here since I was 15. I had my green card for 25 years. You can apply as long as you have lived in US 3 years full time. When was your green card issued ?
