RFE for Good Faith Marriage (VAWA) What Did You Submit? Seeing a Bad Trend Lately
For those who got an RFE for good faith marriage, what exactly did you submit? Did you send new evidence or just resubmit what you already had? My lawyer keeps calling and saying it’s not enough, and now I’m really scared because I have no idea how this will end up, especially since even my lawyer is saying it might not be enough.
Regarding I-485 after Vawa approval
Hi Fam ,
I just want to confirm with you guys if anyone got their i485 approved after Vawa approval. I haven’t seen any I-485 approval lately . My Vawa was approved in Jan 2025 and I still waiting for the decision on my I-485. I haven’t seen a single post about I-485 . please share your experience
after interview case is pending

if anyone experience similar situation please advise
interview was done back in Dec and the officer wasn’t quite sure about my second job as I am currently working part time with sponsor on mutual understanding. I gave her reason back in 2023 the business wasnt doing great so we mutually decided and I started working part time. after 3 months or so I found another job which pays twice then my sponsor with benefits so she asked me why would you like to work full time with sponsor if you have great job with benefits, I work in automotive industry and I am really interested in cars so I gave her that reason she said I need to discuss with supervisor so I am putting your case under review, it’s been more than 80 days nothing changed.
anybody know how long it takes to get a decision?
or anybody had similar situation and got approval?

GC approved while date is not current!!!!
My EB-based I-485 was filed in 2022 when the priority date was current. The primary applicant was approved, but as a derivative applicant I received an RFE. We responded, but by then visa numbers were unavailable, so the case stayed pending.
Later, my LPR spouse filed an I-130 (F2A) and when the Final Action Date became current in Oct 2025, I filed a new I-485 under F2A. I had the F2A interview last week, which went well.
However, yesterday my old EB I-485 showed “New Card Is Being Produced,” and today it says “Case Approved,” even though my EB priority date is not currently current.
How can an EB I-485 be approved when the priority date is not current, especially while another I-485 under F2A is pending after interview?

IT’S MY MF TURN!!!!!
Got the letter from the laywer yesterday. Case status changed today. NOT with BDV
This journey of 4 years 10 months and some changes has finally come to a beautiful end!!! Before I rest this case, I would like to share my experience.
Started this process back in Apr 2021.
03/22: Applied both 140 and 485, 765 concurrently
08/22: Approved 765
09/22: Approved 140
01/23: CRP
At the end of 2022, sponsor asked to go to work but I refused. I was having my H1B at the time so I was maximizing my benefit. 2024, they called me again to ask me to work, my 2yrs EAD was expired. lmao. Renewed for the 5 years EAD at the end of 2024 (the renewal took 3 months)
Fast forward to all the retrogression.
02/25: Sponsor called to ask to go to work, I then again refused. They withdrew the I140 (I never knew they did this). From this point on, I pretty much handled everything myself with the help of ChatGPT
04/25: PD became current
05/25: Case changed to fingers taken. Submit the congressional inquiry. Never hear back until the day after the interview
08/25: Got the letter that USCIS acknowledged the withdrawal but doesn’t affect my 485 since it has been pending for more than 180 days. Got this letter out of the blue because I didnt know they legit withdraw the i140.
09/2025: Submitted 485j. 10 days later, case status changed to interview was scheduled.
10/25: Interview day. Everything went so well. A LOT OF PRAYING LEADING TO THIS DAY. Whoever you believe in, keep praying!!!! Interview lasted like 15 mins with max of 10 questions.
After this, radio silent from USCIS. Case status stopped at interview was scheduled since 09/25
12/25: Filed Mandamus with Hacking Immigration Law Firm (not sponsor, just saying so you dont need to ask)
02/26: 1st and only RFE issued (3 recent paytubs, w2, tax reuturn and job offer letter/verification letter) - USCIS tactics to buy more time. Responsed to USCIS 2 weeks later
03/26: Case approved!!! After 1 week of RFE response
FO: WAS - Fairfax, VA
Never worked for the initial sponsor. Started working full time for the 2nd sponsor on 485j from Sept leading to my interview so I can have proof of working. Working part time since after the interview.
I wish you all the best of luck going through this journey. For those that are waiting, chin up and lives your live, your turn will come. I know it mentally and physically draining but you are not alone.

RFE cancellation
Good evening everyone, is it normal to receive an RFE cancellation notification right after your N-400 interview? I passed the English and Civic test for the Naturalization interview and the officer said my daughter birth certificate that I uploaded was in black and white so for that reason, she going to send my application for review and USCIS will send me a written decision about my application. But I later received a cancellation of RFE about one hour after my interview.
