how long to get i130 (f3) approved?
Filed in 2018, migrated to Elis in 2024 and still hasn't been approved yet. I understand about visa bulletin and such, I just want to see it's been approved at least. I just want to understand if it's processing normally or it should have been approved by then, so we could wait for visa availability for a few more years

“Interview cancelled and notice ordered”
Hello everyone, I had my first interview on mid January and it went well. Later, I got the notice again for initial interview for mid February. They canceled it a week before interview was scheduled and my receipt notice updated to “Interview cancelled and notice ordered”. I got the actual notice in the mail which said “due to unforseen circumstances we cancelled your interview, if we reschedule or make any decisions we will send you a separate copy of that notice”. Its been 11 days since I got the notice. Has anyone went through this stage. what should I expect?
I-693 Medical exam retake
Hi All,
I filled GC in EB1C on October 2022 . The medical exam that I had submitted in 2022 have got expired and I am asked to retake it for myself and my family members. I am planning to do the below steps for my dependants and myself, kindly confirm
Schedule medical exams for myself and each dependent with a USCIS‑designated civil surgeon.
Obtain the sealed envelopes from the civil surgeon for each individual.
The RFIE states: “You must submit the original form… in a sealed envelope from the Civil Surgeon.”
I will keep each envelope separate and attach the corresponding RFIE notice for that person.
Prepare four individual response packets, each containing:
The sealed I‑693 envelope for that applicant
A copy of that applicant’s RFIE letter
The RFIE emphasizes: “Please do not forget to include a copy of this letter with your response.”
Place all four individual packets into one shipping box and send the package via express courier to the address listed for courier deliveries:
Any updates on 2023 cases?
Today is 3 years since I submitted my case. For people who submitted their case in 2023, have you seen any updates? What's the status of your case as of today? Share whatever you want.

Fabricated Stories and Lies
Let’s stop spreading fear, anxiety, and panic about immigration.
Yes, we are living in uncertain times. Yes, immigration policies can change. But constantly sharing unverified stories and exaggerated claims is not helping anyone especially undocumented immigrants and VAWA applicants who are already under emotional stress.
I keep seeing posts about people with VAWA being detained at airports, pressured to say they weren’t abused, or being automatically denied re-entry. Is it possible that issues can happen? Yes. But how common is it really? Where is the verified proof? I personally know people who have traveled outside the U.S. with VAWA cases and were admitted back without threats, intimidation, or drama. Their experiences matter too.
When we spread every story we read online without confirmation, we create fear where there may not be facts. We are already living in trying times why add imaginary situations and fabricated stories to the burden?
Let’s be responsible. Let’s verify before we amplify. Let’s share resources, not rumors. Let’s encourage people to consult qualified immigration attorneys instead of relying on anonymous posts.
Fear spreads fast. But so does faith, truth, and community support.
If we truly care about each other, we should protect each others peace but not to fuel it with anxiety.
Let’s keep the faith and keep the fire burning.
