anyone here with an ACD?
so I was arrested on a felony charge (forgery of a government document) which was actually reduced to a misdemeanor. Being this is my first arrest in 27 years and I was NOT aware that the document I had were forged, they were able to offer me an ACD (adjournment in contemplation of dismissal) basically if I stay out of trouble for 3 months (which is pretty easy for me since I am a pretty decent person) the case then gets sealed and dismissed. my question is for anyone that is/was on the same boat as me. Did USCIS give any issues? I already stated that I was arrested, but I was NOT convicted of any charges, I also provided my court disposition. I read a few articles that they won’t deny my case for that arrest since it’s the ACD is not considered a conviction, a plea bargain, or an admission of guilt.

Prima Facie for HCC & TSTC [TX]!
Hello,
I just wanted to drop this here for anyone considering going to college and that has a valid Prima Facie and lives in TX specifically around the Houston area and considered going to Houston Community College. You can get FInancial Aid with your Prima Facie. Just apply for FAFSA and go to the FA office in person to submit your Prima Faciie. It will be scanned and a verification will be done. And after confirmation your FA will be awarded.
Texas State Technical College also accepted the Prima Facie for FInancial Aid. They are located in different cities in TX.
I know someone complained about Lone Star not awarding FInancial Aid with Prima Facie so please you can go ahead and apply to HCC
Just wanted to share this and help others who are considering going to college pending VAWA approval.
