What takes 131 so long to approve?
Filed 140, 485, 765, and 131 altogether. I already got my 765, approved 140, I wonder why does it take so long to approve 131. What are they specifically looking to adjudicate for that paper? I missed a travel opportunity booked 6 mos ago because of this document, and I wonder why this takes so long to approve? TSC.

My Experience (I-485 Interview after I-360 Approval)
When I went for the interview, the officer was more focused on my previously denied I-485. Asking how is the sponsor I used related to me? Why I didn’t use my spouse’s parents as sponsor? Do I know if the person I used as sponsor had sponsor other people? If my previous attorney had my personal information? If I had been arrested? Asked about my parents name, where I was born, etc. There was no question on my current I-485.
After all, he said he needed sometime to review my file and do a background check. And in the process, if he needs anymore doc, he’ll reach out to me.
I frowned in disappointment and told him I’m honestly tired of waiting. He smiled and told me he understands, that he needs time to review my case and to do a background check.
So he printed all the response I gave and asked me to read them over and sign before he submitted.
I honestly do not know what to make out of it all.
I just have my fingers crossed 🤞.
USCIS notices online account EAD
I have seen a lot of people who found an approval notice for their EAD on their online account. I do have a documents tab for my I-765 but no USCIS notices section… for all other applications I do have a part tiled USCIS notices under documents (even if there are no notices), why is it missing for the I-765 application?
